It doesn't sound like Axl....
It sounds kinda like him but theres a tone in his voice that doesn't fit.  It may sound a bit like him but the melody and tone that Axl takes doesn't fit. 

Then again, maybe Axl has changed/mixed it up a bit.

It doesn't sound like Guns N Roses, but it sounds like Axl for the most part.  The way he sings it is similar to some stuff on Illusions so it's not a stretch.  The closest thing this has to Axl's singing is in silkworms

Man, I can't believe the way some people complain. Oh no- Axl has a tone in his voice that doesn't fit! I would think people would be happy that he's even still making music. Why do people assume that their taste in music is better than Axl Rose's, or that they know better about what tone he should have in his voice than he does? Damn.

In defense of the 15 second clip, it is pretty damn hard to judge the potential, or originality of a song based on half a minute of sub-par quality to go by...

Remember when the first 10 seconds of Better leaked?

Mostly everyone thought it was futuristic garbage, while I thought it was a Linkin Park song being passed off as Gn'R...

I think the polished studio version will be a real treat to hear, if this is indeed Axl, and if there is indeed serious intentions in having this song featured on Chinese Democracy or it's successor...
