Just before "Fucking off in G" ( hihi) and November Rain he said "How come...blah blah" with a funny cartoon voice but I couldn't really hear it clearly.

Did anybody understand? Was that an impersonation or he was just improvising? He made different funny voices several times during the show.

I think he was trying to imitate a character from Southpark. It sounded like Kyle's extremely stereotypical, Jewish cousin. I forget his name, but he talks in a whiney, annoying voice.

Did anybody else catch his Kip from Napoleon Dynamite?

Yeah! I knew he reminded me of a Southpark character, but I thought it was Jimmy the stand-up comedy guy...

Napoleon Dynamite? When was that?

Didn't Axl say, "That's what I'm talking about?" when they were fucking around between songs? He said something in a Kip-like voice. I know that for sure

She told me something interesting tho.
From what she heard, GN'R had to end the show because it was getting too late. She was really close to the tech console and she heard the guy saying that they were running late and they had to cut a few songs and that Paradise city would be play right away at the encore. So i guess Chinese Democracy or Madagascar were suppose to be played at the encore like in NY.

Just some infos I tought that I'd share with you.
----
Thanks to Montrealer at mygnr

I'm NOT doubting this girl heard what she says she heard BUT IMO I doubt that they cut those songs "because it was getting too late."? They cut what?, one maybe two songs, plus Axl properly introducing the band? (Robin puts on an amazing show everything time and it's a sin he wasn't properly acknowledged). How fuckin' long could it have possibly taken to do that??? 10 more minutes??? confused

P.S.? I watched the show on the German link (thanks Brownstone).? I loved loved loved all the solos ok ... would've been nice if Tommy got one too.

Also would've been nice if I got to hear Axl sing (whose ever fault that was should be tortured for 2+ hours like we were) but beggars can't be choosey, so I'm just really happy that I got to watch it and I'm really happy that I spent the extra $$$ for my Ultra Sharp monitor ... Axl looks GREAT!!!

As much as I would've loved to hear Axl "ranting" or whatever about legal issues and press releases, I'm fine with that he atleast addressed that he was NOT gonna do any of that.? IMO, he also needs to drop the "downloading motherfucker" line ... it was funny the first and maybe the second show but after that not so much ... especially since he doesn't sing all the leaked songs.? One last bitch ... David Letterman wants his "this current audience is more amazing than last show's audience" line back.? Axl, there's supposed to be a joke punch line after you say that.? If there's not then you're just being insulting to the previous show's fans.

OVERALL ... GNR PUTS ON A GREAT SHOW!!! headbanger ?

i wonder if maybe the feed was intentionally screwy. the other shows (darkness and shakira) sounded just fine, then GnR gets shitty sound? I just wonder if it was done because they knew people would record it, and some would sell the recordings on ebay and other places, which is probably also why they wouldn't allow the new songs to be aired (atleast the xm broadcast and the AOL archive). i'm probably wrong, it's just a thought.

just got to watch the edited AOL On Demand cast.

the sound from the feed is shite...but based on the hammerstein BL's and live reports from the show, im confident the band sounded fine. i really was more interested in watching to see how they looked..

i defended axl and the band's apppearence in 2002, and im never much for 'image', but the presentation just seems so much better this time around. for whatever injury he sustained last night, axl looks healthier than ever...and the band--in hindsight the 2002 band looked scattered-you had tommy in his Mats' getup, robin with the goth look, BH...this band now actually looks like a cohesive, ROCK band...whatever they may say about this tour, i dont think they can call these guys a freak show anymore.

just hearing the reviews gets me more and more amped for dublin Cool ok

How do you get the AOL on Demand to work?  I have tried on all 3 of my computers and had error messages everywhere.
