I got tickets for 3 shows this summer (stockholm and 2xoslo). And maybe I go to Roskilde also. That's maybe 4 shows this summer and I was wondering if it is possible that I could be tired and bored if I go to so many shows? I have never been on a GN'R concert. To be honest I have never been to any real big concert at all!
I really like Guns N' Roses and I have been a fan since early 90's, so is it impossible for me to not like a GN'R show? How does it feel to be on a GN'R show? how is it on the floor?

Go to 2 of them sober, and 2 of them wasted.
Then compare and let us know how it went.

Ofcource I'm going! But like I said, maybe I'm going to Roskilde also, but it's easier(?) to decide if I "know" I'm going to enjoy all of them. I have my own tour to plan you know! ?hihi

Listen to dolphin.  I won't steer you wrong.

I went to 2 shows in New York City and honestly 2 was enough for me.

It was fun being in New York City because I had never been there and I was able to sight see.

Honestly, I went to the 14th and 15th and although Axl did sing Chinese Democracy one night and Rocketqueen....it did get kinda monotonous hearing the same thing again.

I would have wished now I would have just gone to one show and did more sightseeing.

But, have fun...but just spend time sightseeing if you have never been to the places where you will see GNR.

Take home memories more than Axl on stage....it's your life and take pictures and take in culture and history while traveling.

That's what I used to say too....  hihi Being too drunk at a concert is not cool coz you can't remember shit from it the day after..Ive done that mistake a couple of times..

Trick is to just get a tad drunk and rock out like hell and remember it all. Wont get better than that

Well i went to all 4 Hammerstein shows and I didn't get bored. I was on the floor for the first two nights and the balcony the last two nights. I personally prefered the balcony, it sounded way better, and I could see the whole show (not just axl's head once and a while). Plus I hate being stuck in between thousands of hot sweaty people its really quite gross.... ON the sunday show I booked it to the back of the room because I had been stuck in two big dudes armpits for 10minutes.

But if I was in europe right now i'd go to more shows...  i wouldn't worry about getting bored or over doing it GNR ROCKS beer

Wahhhhh!!! I got 4 tickets for Guns N' Roses and i don't know if I'll like it.

Trust me dude, there are a lot worse problems you could have in life.  Deal with it.  People would kill to be in your dire situation.  I think you'll do just fine.  Suck it up and go to all 4 shows.  You'll regret it if you don't.

Listen to Mr Brownstone and Nightrain over and over and over again. Then trust your subconscious mind to point you in the right direction, with regards to getting prepared for the show.

I don't know about you but I could never get bored of Guns live. If they were to play Toronto and Hamilton Ontario Canada I would go to both. One I would get floor tickets so I could be up front and see a killer show from just feet away. The other I would grab seats near by the stage so I could get drunk and rock the fuck out. drool

Well I went to 3 shows. stockholm and 2 x oslo.

The firsth show in Globen I got seat way back and because of that it was just allright. Guns N' roses was great, but I was too far away from the scene and floor tickets would be much better!

The next show in Oslo I got floor tickets and it was really fun!

The last show in Oslo (yesterday) I got seat tickets again and I got almost the same feeling like I did in Stockholm, but now I wasn't that excitet before the show because this was the third show for me in 2 weeks.

So it was pretty fun, but it would be fantastic great I think if I got floor tickets for all three shows, but now I'm tired and 3 shows is enough for a while.

it can be to much, by the fourth show at hammerstein I found myself wandering around talking with others standing around... If it was different each night or the songs were new to you then it could be cool... it's a lot of shows and it's easy to loose interest especially in my case at the same exact venue... Then you have to see why you are going, I went for axl, and axcl alone is not enough for 4 days

During Paris (my 5th show) I was like...ok I've seen it now...that feeling really sucked...coz I had still 2 shows to go!!

Next year (IF they'll be around then Tongue) I go to max 4 shows...and hopefully a little bit more time between the shows. I don't think I will visit the show(s) in my own country coz I really enjoyed the short vacations I had in diffrent countries.

Six shows "done", four to go on this tour.

How can you get tired of this? I wish I could've seen all the shows!

Each one is different. The songs might be the same, the shows are still different. The energy from the crowd, the people and the surroundings, they all change and make each show special....

But then again I don't see a GN'R concert as just a two hour set with these songs. The whole experience usually starts with going to the city, meeting up with people, hanging around, going to the show, watching it, going out afterwards...

Well I'm not tired of the show. I'm tired of travel to the show and it's not that fun with seat ticket. So 3 shows is enough for me for a while.

I went to two shows in NY and would have loved to have seen the other two shows as well.  But the Hammerstein Ballroom was a very special place, small, and even on the second mezzanine the view was great.  So I'm not sure about seeing the show at a huge place, like in the nosebleed section or a mile from the stage and all you can see is the video screen.  I don't think I'd want to do that four times!  But, overall, you have to realize that you love the music and the chance to hear it played live is an experience not to be turned down.

Well, once Gn'R are back on the road in the US, and Canada, Ill be going to as many shows as both humanly, and financially possible because I dont really see boredom as even a remote possibility at a Guns' show...no matter how many times you've seen them or whatever the setlist may or may not be ok

I got tickets for 3 shows this summer (stockholm and 2xoslo). And maybe I go to Roskilde also. That's maybe 4 shows this summer and I was wondering if it is possible that I could be tired and bored if I go to so many shows? I have never been on a GN'R concert. To be honest I have never been to any real big concert at all!?
I really like Guns N' Roses and I have been a fan since early 90's, so is it impossible for me to not like a GN'R show? How does it feel to be on a GN'R show? how is it on the floor?

At least you will know the set list.  hihi

I see it that way to as meeting people going out parties etc... Just for me maybe the same city every day and not as excited to see the new just axl made it much less special to me.. I didn't feel as if I was going to see gnr..

eh.... If you can afford it then go. Personally I don't appreciate price Gouging. $65 Bucks or more for one ticket! My first concert ever was to see "KISS" when I was 10 years old. Tickets were only $10 Bucks. I realize that prices go up..... but man I'm not one who cares to be ripped off. Personally I would see the concert once and then take the rest of my money to the grocery store.

very old. anyone with half a brain is able to either move on to other bands or adapt to new members over the course of TEN fucking years, but NOOO, unlike other bands who change members, some guns n' roses fans are fucking stuck in the past with mullets and washed out slash t-shirts! accept it or fucking LEAVE! to quote axl when he sees someone moaning about slash; "you're a fucking idiot!"

What do you want? A prize for repeating yourself over and over again?

Why revive a thread thats over a month old just to complain about it and asked for it to be locked?

It was already long forgotten.
