Yeah, but I have a feeling the west coasts gettin' first licks at new material. ?

Shows.

Huh I'm saying that I think the west coast is going to hear some new stuff we haven't heard yet from CD. ?Especially if CD really is coming this fall.

Mysteron, can say whether or not this will be the approach for the whole tour, as far as doing theaters and not necessarily arenas?

Ali

Is there a choice? After the 2002 tour failure and STILL no album there's no choice but to play small venues in the U.S.

I didn't think there was a choice in 2002, but they still went ahead and played arenas with no album or single even. ?I'm just curious what's happening this time around, to see if anything truly has been learned from the last tour.

I personally like the smaller venues. ?You get to see the band close no matter where you are. ?I read somewhere that bands prefer the smaller shows because you get to feel the energy from the audience, although you dont make as much money. ?But if GNR sticks with the small venue shows, small venue depending on the city, that would be a great idea.

The bigger shows may be saved for after an announcement or single release. Bands do this sometimes.  Not saying thats the case here, but it's a possibility.

the rumored show in Atlanta is for an arena around 10,000 seats....they are probably doing a combo of arenas and theatres...which is smart. ok

It should also be noted again that the venues in SF, like NY, are Live Nation/Clear Channel venues....I assume they will be promoting the full US tour....obviously differences from the 02 tour are settled.

You had about 15 years to save up money. That's how a bunch of us made it to several concerts on the European tour (5 in my case). Smiley

What I mean is that GN'R isn't hitting your town very often, so if you have the chance, go for it. I saved some money on purpose for the European tour in the past few months, and it was well worth it. If you haven't already, start saving some for the US dates guys!
