According to TheSun.co.uk, Ozzy Osbourne will fulfill a lifelong dream at the Brit Awards (the British equivalent of the Grammy Awards) ? by performing with his hero Sir Paul McCartney.

Brits bosses are thrashing out the final details for The Prince Of Darkness to join Macca for an explosive finale.

Aptly for Ozzy, after his well documented booze and drugs battles, they will perform Paul's classic Bond theme "Live And Let Die". And if it does come off it will all be down to Ozzy's wife Sharon.

Sharon has used her influence ? and the couple?s gig as awards hosts ? to set up the once in a lifetime opportunity for her hubby.

She reportedly said: "They go together really well. It will be amazing."

Sir Paul will also be presented with an Outstanding Contribution To Music gong at the bash, being held at London?s Earls Court on February 20.

A show source reckons the performance will go down as one the most memorable in its history.

He told TheSun.co.uk: "Sharon is a very determined woman and wants it to be the best Brits ever. She's been in touch with lots of the legendary music business names she knows personally.

"It was her idea for a duet between Ozzy and Sir Paul. If it happens, it will be unmissable."

Anyone else think it's weird that the Ozzman has deleted so much of his back catalogue? I read that "The Ultimate Sin", "Just Say Ozzy", and "Live and Loud" all will be out of print. I am not too big a fan of TUS but the other two, especially LAL are awesome cds. Only thing I can think of for deleting them is to try to push more for people to buy the budokan album but LAL is far superior.

Ozzy Osbourne recently spoke to The Sydney Morning Herald about the possibility of reforming BLACK SABBATH's original lineup for a 40th anniversary tour. "You know what, if it happens, it happens, if it don't, it don't," he said. "They're [saying], 'I'll be able to do it', then a week after, you get a phone call: it's off; then it's back on again ? tellin' ya." However, he is quick to add, "I'm glad at the end of the day we all made friends again." Osbourne's fine with the group doing their own nostalgia tour recently with the singer who replaced him, Ronnie James Dio, under the HEAVEN AND HELL banner. "I'm too old to f---in' have a fly up my arse any more about it," Ozzy said. "I just hope they're all having fun.

"I've been solo ... like three times longer than I was together with BLACK SABBATH. Looking back, it seems like it was a lot longer with that band than any ? 'cause everything happened so overnight for us; from album one, it just hit ... I mean, with any band the best parts are the early days, when you got bugger all to lose and everything to gain."

Any words on when the Ozzfest '08 Bands will start to be announced?  I know they like to drag it out, but when is the FIRST set of names going to drop?  It would have to be in the next six weeks or so, I'd imagine.

Yeah, I'd like to see that.  Or even an instrumental album.  I really want him to get out from under the vocal-centric approach (of VR) and show us what he can do.

Excuse me.

But just because someone has a Midlands accent does not mean they are thick.

The reason Ozzy is thick is because his brains are fried from years of drug use and alcohol abuse.
