I did in NYC when I flew up to see them at Hammerstein ballroom

I have to say that I'd rather have a break inbetween the shows only because on the second night of when I saw them, Axl seemed to hold back his voice a bit.? But that also could have been because he lost it on May 13th and Baz hooked him up with a doctor to get it back.? This was also early on into touring and I don't think Europe shows people commented on him holding his voice back on shows that were consecutive.

But they are playing Sunrise and then Tampa the next night.?

And I will see them in Sacramento and then 3 days later in San Diego.

But then again...to NOT have consecutive shows could lead to a band member getting ill or what not so keeping the momentum going is a good thing.

Opinons?

I was at Hammerstein too. Had to buy my tickets from a scalper, so the whole pre-sale dont share password with newbies just aids the scalpers.

Hammerstein were warm up shows after a long layoff, so AXL's voice was more prone to giving out and needing more recovery time in-bewteen gigs.  Now that the tour is on and he has be rocking since Europe it shouldn't be that much of a concern.

my 2nd hammstein show was on monday night, after the sunday show.  his voice was solid, but i was nervous about it being pretty shitty b/c they performed the previous night.  it sounded awesome to me but there were a few spots where it seemed he faltered/held back, but all in all it was fine.

my take on it is...if he can do it, then go for it.  but he is getting up there in age and axl's voice issues are pretty infamous.  I don't think they should try to do it that often.  rest is always good no matter what you're doing.

that's some interesting thoughts you got there, they shouldn't play so many dates in a row and espacially not in the same area, I think that gnr management couold have set things up in a better way.

dee pocketz makes a good point - I think with as many gigs as they have done this year - axl is aware of his current live vocal demands and how to handle them.  he sounded strong as fk even at the last gig before he fell ill.  He'll be very aware of looking after his voice.  am sure he will be cool  ok

I think those consecutive shows are friendly to the fans from far.
like when you must travel  long while you can't afford many successive days away,
a 3 days trip for a couple of shows is a good deal.. yes efficient.

hahah. i like your thinking!

so far i'm going to vegas and i'm thinking that will go pretty well since its the start. but i don't think they should do too many of these, so that Axl can rest his voice a little more to give better shows.
