He does appear to ooze confidence while performing IRS  ok
The weird movements Axl makes to Better about half way though the song looks very Buckethead inspired.

I think the easiest song for Axl to sing live is Patience and Used to Love her when they decide to do this one with Izzy. 
Aside from that, Nightrain is sung very very well and I think that is why the band seems to love it and they play it before the encore at most shows
