WASHINGTON President George W. Bush has signed an order asserting the right of the United States to deny adversaries access to space for hostile purposes.

Bush also said the United States would oppose the development of treaties or other restrictions that seek to prohibit or limit U.S. access to or use of space.

basically the USA reserve the right to build military elements *in* space for defense purpose ...
there is a treaty on military-free space.

USA want defense in space
USA want prosperity
USA know everybody hate USA
USA big
USA want guns
USA is leader

Dude, get a new line.   Roll Eyes You're anti-US diatribe is sooo played out.  You don't like the US, we get it.  It'd be refreshing if you could post something relevant and not have it IMMEDIATELY be about how much you dislike the US.  You're like a broken record playing a really bad song.

And borat would have said US and A  hihi

Why should they have weapons in space but not anyone else?  Better to have none at all. Sad

This is both hilarious and deeply disturbing.  How on earth are they going to regulate this?  Fucking stupid.

Signed with who ? Does he just claim the right to use space for USA's military purposes ? I don't get it. What if another country wants to do the same ? Is he denying that right to others ?

they didnt say they want to own space
they just "warn" the rest of the world, that if they feel threatned by something (could be satelite, ground-space-ground missiles) then they warn you all that they gonna defend their homeland in space also ...

it's natural reaction of fear. you feel paranoiac, and you put yourself in a situation where eveyrbody is your ennemy.

the problem is that, with globalization, everybody has connections with everybody, therefore, soon enough, the USA agreement won't matter anymore, and they are going to feel VERY lonely in their useless SUVs Smiley

i mean, i deeply love the people. i like their country.
but they're one fucked up society, and it impacts everything.

you guys know southpark ? see cartman character. that is the united states.
a little fat brat whom everybody hates Smiley

anyway, enough bashing.

cause many countries do the same kinda shit. just like the french nuclear submarines floating around at all time in open seas. same idea.

Somehow this reminds of a miniature version of Wag The Dog(the movie)
(=putting out something media sexy to draw attention from shit related incidents at fan factory)
Headlines:
 - Al-Qaeda much more organized nowadays
 - Dathtoll and level of resistance in Iraq increasng steadily
 - gay republican flirting with kids
 - HAY ATLEAST WE'LL KEEP EM AWAY FROM SPACE!

All in all Team Bush has already done brilliant job when it comes to stopping space terrorism.I can't even recall when was the last time suicide bombers managed to do their thing at ISS.
