I hope they don't go to TOOL route and do some elaborate cardboard thing. And I hate cardboard CD cases. Just give us a good old-fashioned jewel case. But I would like to see some group shots and some individual shots as well. Perhaps an essay by Rose on the making of CD. A duel-CD would also be cool, with some interviews and a making of Chinese Democracy would be cool.

It'd be cool if Robin Finck could include some drawings in the liner notes. It'd be cooler if he drew the actual cover, since he helped create the music and is intimate with it.

I'd like that poster with the angel/devil thing to be the cover, looks cool!

Yeah, love that pic, I hope that's the cover.

I hate dueldiscs, they're so much more touchy play-wise than regulair cds.

Also I think the digipacks are awesome.  I'm betting on a standard jewel case, but soemthing cool would be nice as well.

it would have to be a 10 dvd set for the "making of" considering how long this cd has taken  Wink

Good thread!  The standard CD booklet, full color no doubt, lol.  Lyrics to all the songs, liner notes, Axl's "thank yous", cool pix of the band, kick ass artwork!

I HATE Dual Discs.
None of the greatest CDs of the past have ever had multiple versions. Just give it one concrete format, world wide.

I love Digipacks. Jewel cases feel so cheap.
Or maybe it's just years of being a Pearl Jam/Nine Inch Nails fan, and looking forward to their casing.

I think it'd be cool too have it come out in a digipak that is like embossed and shit. Also, I would really hope the band would do some photoshoots so we might get a cool picture of the band together inside the cd booklet or something of that sort.

You know how "Appetite" has a line from You Could Be Mine and the "Illusion's" had the line Aint It Fun after the "thank yous"? Well, I hope Chinese Democracy has a line from a song on the follow up album!

Definitely an old-fashioned jewel case is my only request.

Other than that, let the originality flow...

I personally think the SF Warfield poster/promo is cool for the cover. Very Guns, and it almost seems like a Chinese Democracy-version of the Use Your Illusion covers.

Kind of like, new-Guns with a little hint of vintage.
