I think the only thing casual fans didn't enjoy was the solo spots. That certainly got a few people's backs up during the Newcastle gig back in the summer.

I've been around for a long, long year

I took a 'casual fan' friend to the Toronto show. To be fair, she LOVED it and said it was one of the best shows she's been to in a while. However...

She didn't get it when I screamed 'Chris Pitman rules!' between songs.

I was the only one in my section at the Toronto show standing and singing the new songs at the top of my lungs (I paid to hear the 'new' stuff). No one around me had any idea what it was the band was playing. She asked if 'The Blues' was new, and I had to tell her that it was played back in 2001, but it hasn't been released yet. Her reaction was 'it was THAT long ago...?'.

Arg.

My "casual fan" friend said the Huntington show was the best concert he's ever been to. He's still talking about it, actually.
