Anybody know how many GN'R shows in history have ended without PC being played?

I was at Newcastle in the summer that ended with no encore because some fucking cock knocker threw a coin at Axl.

Was still the best of the 4 shows I went to though, the energy of that show was unreal.

I think every show since the 80s, unless something "happened", was ended with PC.

There has been a lot of shows that ended with something different. Check www.gnrontour.com for old setlists. They even ended with Welcome to the Jungle one time. That is really rare.

cheers for your reviews people. ?v interesting about Axl's comment pre-Better. ?I dont know if I'd read too much into the lack of PC - am sure it will be played at the next gig. ?There's most likely a very good reason.

yay - this tour is sounding so fkn good. ?wish i was in Cali next week ?crying

Maybe Universal forbid him to talk about the new album??

Cheers for the reviews, evergreen_layne, Mike McKagan, hunterwh.

Isn't that like the first time he ever said something like this during this tour? I read a lot of postings bitching about why Axl never introduces the new songs en mentioning the album...

At hammerstein in may he said the song was from their last album.
an in-joke for the fans @ fan forums? He must have heard about the whines and the sneak release. rofl

Didn't they play November Rain? I saw that was missing from the Everett setlist also. I never thought they'd do this. Not that I mind at all, though. I'd take DOTF over NR any day.

Why would you expect the Chinese Democracy World Tour (2.0) to have anything to do with Chinese Democracy? ?Axl doesn't have to talk about it. ?When it comes down to it, would you rather hear Axl talk about Chinese Democracy or play songs from AFD, my favorite album of all time? ?

And really, what more is there to say about Chinese Democracy? ?That it's coming out on one of the next two Tuesdays? ?You guys are lame.

Well, he mentioned something about hoping that Universal didn't waste their time on the album while he was kicking someone out at San Francisco.

They didn't play Paradise City because of the Rose Garden time issues.  It wasn't because the crowd wasn't into it.  I knew this might happen as they added a song to the setlist (I believe, DOTF) from the night before, and they went on a little later.

Not saying that that's not true, but since when does Axl conform to the rules?  Is 8 more minutes really gonna make that much of a difference?

well i know some venues have very strict curfews.  i saw an aerosmith show in cincinnati, and the curfew was 11.  rumor was it cost 1000 bucks a minute over.  they didn't even play train kept a rollin as an encore, and thats their signature.  i wonder if this was the case

Rules like that are so fucking asinine.  It's not a fucking outdoor venue, correct!  No one is being kept awake except workers, the band, and the fans who want to be there?
