Prepare to get pissed.
I don't want to hurt feelings,
But I've had enough!

The word's "PROBABLY"!
It's not "prolly" or "probly"
Neither "proberbly".

It's "PROBABLY", folks!
It's a form of "probable"
From Latin "probare".

I apologize
Just in case your first language
May not be English

But if it's your first,
There is simply no excuse
Except public school!

To sum up: pleeze lern
Two spel werds rite inn Inglesh
If itt's yore ferst tung.   Tongue Kiss

I think the reason most people does it is because of text messaging. I know when I'm texting someone and i need to say probably, I always use prolly cause it's faster. So it's a habbit now, I sometimes even use it when I'm talking. Its a horrible habbit, but it's not easy to stop.

Exactly... I know it's PROBABLY, but I usually write "prolly" on the internet. It's simply because it's faster.

Is a habbit anything like a hobbit?  Or maybe like a rabbit?

Oh wait, maybe you meant "habit".   Wink

People who substitute "prolly" for "probably" should be drawn and quartered.

Don't get me started on the illiterates who use "their" in place of "they're."

Aye!
Don't forget to include "there" in your post.
And "you're" in place of "your".

puke

The sad part is that people who usually post these have English as their first language. Otherwise it'd be totally understandable.

Nah. 'You're' is a composite word, 'your' is not. It isn't understandable, what's not to get, even if it is funny words to your tongue? Basic structure transcends foreign word confusion.

You can't expect a non-English speaker to know everything. Most of them are still learning (as we all are, I believe. But you know what I meant).
