never seen this thread before so im interested to see what others think --do you think Axl and Baz have penned anything together (even if its for a Bach album) or will in the future?

edit: Baz is also a great self - Guns promoter...he got himself on the tous simply by asking Axl .... do you think there may be a chance of an Axl appearance on Angel down or even Bach weasling onto CD or the follow up albums?

did you hear the writing on Supergroup, it was garbage. I don't think baz writes a whole lot. Most of Skid Row was Dave writing I believe. I haven't heard his solo stuff but I will check out Angel Down when it comes out

Well most of the Skid Row songs that are my favorite have Bach's name on the credits, so its safe to assume that I like his writing. And from the 3 shows I saw of Sebastian this year, I like his new stuff a lot.

So to me, Axl and Sebastian writing together would be awesome.

Let's pray that Baz is only around because he's a supportive friend and Axl is trying to help the guy out

To suggest that this guy is involved in the creative process with Axl is nauseating.

Maybe but not onto the forthcoming one or the follow ups. There are enough writers of talent in GNR, I suppose.

I hope not. Bach is a horrible songwriter. Most of Skid Row's songs were written by Snake Sabo and Rachel Bolan.

Look to his first solo album for examples of his "brilliant" songwriting: "I"ll Never Turn My Back On Rock N' Roll." Yeah, cool. Whatever man.  Roll Eyes

Seems to me like Baz knew more than most about the creative proceses and influences of old than most on that radio interview.

Bach actually did record a version of "Amazing Grace" right after 9/11. I might still have it lying on one of my backup discs.

The both of them singing together on a track would be cool (Amazing Grace or somethin'), but Axl writing with...Baz?

 nervous

I hope not...

I wonder if Baz's head would explode if he saw Axl and Nugent at the same time...

While I enjoy some of Baz's music with his former band Skid Row I cannot see that a songwriting collaboration between Axl and Baz would be a good idea.  Baz is too much of a puppet and he would basically agree with whatever Axl told him.

no and no. please no.  say what you will about the man's performance/vocal skills, but i don't think he's anywhere near axl's league in terms of songwriting.  exhibit a, "love is a bitch slap."

Agreed.  Vocally he holds his own but that doesn't make him a gifted lyricist.

I can't see it happening myself. confused

I'm pretty sure though, that if they ever did decide to collaborate on a tune, it would undoubtedly kick some serious fucking ass!!! beer

i doubt that they will do any extensive writing together.. i'm a huge baz fan.. but he isn't the greatest song writer.. i think it would be cool to hear.. and a great move by bach to try to get axl to be on a track or two on his new album..
