I think this is great - Merck, who endlessly called for posts to be deleted because they contradicted the party line, gets his letter removed rofl

Frankly, why is the band so intrested in censoring this board? They cant control the internet - do they think controlling one message board will dicatate the world's opinion on the band?

I am curious as to the above.  Is it purely cos he is no longer "one of the crew"?

I actually thought it was an interesting piece, especially where it notes the new tour kicking off around album release time in Dubai!

anyone care to give me a valid reason why then?

Because he takes credit for writing Axl's letter, and we are only supposed to see that it was Axl who wrote it and consisted of nothing but his honest feelings.

I know, I really don't like a certain other GNR site, but often find myself forced to go there otherwise I would be in the dark half the time about what is going on with GNR. HTGTH needs to get back to the days of being one-stop shopping.

I think both sides should be presented. So I have it up at my place as well.

I have it posted up on MySpace. ?I think it needs to be read. ?I usually agree with what gets censored but I can't agree with this. ?Merck was a part of the GNR camp for a long time.

What I can't understand tho, is that he was very supportive of Axl and GNR even tho he has been "let go"

If he ragged Axl and the band then I would understand why, but he gives his props to them, even so far as to say that the new band kicks the shit out of the old one!

I would be interested in a Mod's view on this topic, thats why i posted the original question

Considering this is one of the best GNR sites on the 'net, I find that kind of sad but thats the way this site is run and its abide or go forth and multiply isn't it

I have read it here this morning and then it was gone. He was very possitive and professional in what he said. Gave a lot of credit to Mr. Rose and the band. I dont get why its being deleted either

This is jarmo's site and he has the right to delete anything he wants to.

With that said, I think we need a better written policy to define what is and isn't allowed to be posted here. People are just gonna get frustrated over and over again until that happens, and usually that translates badly to not only this forum, but to the band as well.
