the guide will be revamped. I can't give the accurate date, but it will be sometimes during this summer. the current plan includes:
all possible DVD authorings, maybe even SA DVDs, from GNR and all related bands
we could add all audio bootlegs and sources
downloadable covers at each item
comments for people at each item
maybe list of all GNR shows, as gnrontour.com is no more updated
we wanna build the Number 1 website for GNR collectors, so let us know what YOU would like to see at the guide. we need your ideas. let the brainstorming begin

That would be great Zombux, specially about what you said about audio.
But I dont think its necesary to add EVERY authoring... there can be an infinite number of authorings from the same SA dvd... I dont know why people keeps authoring DVDs that are already authored (perfectly) by several persons, and already circulating. I'm afraid that some people just want to ''have his name'' in the list...
If you ever need help with covers or sources/lineages, just give me a shout.

yeah I know esteban. but I personally think we really need to add each authoring, that's the purpose of the guide, so people know what they get. I know, lots of useless authorings appeared lately.
anyway, adding new stuff to the new guide should be very fast and easy, so this is not a problem

The guide works fine again.
The address is still the same
http://dvd.gnr.gr
We'll see if that changes in the future into something better...

Maybe Jarl got pissed off because of the crap this GNR trading community has become?

pretty impossible to keep a DVD guide updated and in order with so many re-authorings of the same fucking dvd...
something like a ''wiki'' could be a good option. NIN has an extraordinary one, check it out:

Here is a question for all you guys out there, I know that the
Guns N' Roses Live at The Roxy - Hollywood, CA: January 18, 1986
is know as the oldest video recorded of GNR, so we are talking January '86. Now GNR played alot in 1985, does anyone know if any recordings of 85 exist out there ?!?
If you have any info on this please contact me.
thanks-

1/18/1986 = earliest GN'R video, shot by Marc Canter (recklessroad.com), close friend of the band (still is to Slash and Axl). he also did lots of audio recordings before (and also after) that. about nothing got out though.

I KNOW! Marc Canter has a goldmine as far as that goes, he probably has some really early stuff, beyond 85, but like everything else Axl probably has threatened. . .

thats what Marc said himself, he posted some audio short clips from 1985 though.
and yes, he was interested in creating some early video compilation for the fans....BUT the whole band would have to agree to such a release.
and guess why we dont have that one yet? we dont have an direct answer but i would bet a lot that its against the wish from Mr. Redhead
would be cool to ask Marc about this again!

Is there any archive of live recordings froom 2011 and 2012? I'm mainly interested in knowing if there are any pro shot events in the past couple years beyond Rock in Rio 2011.
