Yes! this is perfect, everything is set up for Rage Against the Machine to get back together. Although I really liked Audioslave and was bummed when I first heard the news I'd still rather have Rage by a long shot.

I liked Audioslave, but did not love them. The band kind of went pop with Cornell compared to when Morello & the crew were with Rage.

Soundgarden Had one of those 3 album Stretches of Amazing work where a band hits a stride I guess and back to back to back we got 3 really kick ass albums. That being said I agree Matt won't leave Pearl Jam but the other issue in my mind would be that Cornell probably can't sing alot of the soundgarden material anymore. And it's not a knock on his voice now which I still love. I have all 3 audioslave albums, none of them great but all of it good, and he has lost a ton of range. He may have been the greatest singer ever in my mind in his prime but right now theres no way he could sing anything like "Slaves & Bulldozers" or "Jesus Christ Pose". I did hear Audioslave did some soundgarden live tho so I wonder how that sounded.

I liked the first two albums and for whatever reason, hated their third CD Revelations. But the other week I gave it another spin and found that I thought it was quite good. One of those albums that was a "grower."

Didn't care for Soundgarden. I really love Audioslave and I thought the first two Cd's were good. But, love, love, love, love, the fact that Rage is getting back - they are so awesome together and I can't wait for a tour. but, here's the thing, and it's not a bad thing, actually it's pretty tits - Rage has only played like smaller places when they come to chi-town. I've never seen them at a regular venue. It's always smaller and of course, the sound is huge. It makes it an awesome experience but do you think they do that on purpose?

Also, did anyone see Rage at Coachella? They reunited for that gig and are supposedly going to get back.
