Quote

was it more reggae-like? or something...

It was not like reggae. It started like
"I used to love her but I need to kill her ... " in all one sound without the melody.
I could not recognise that it was UTLH first because of it.

the second time with the melody something like that.

I cannot describe the style of the music (the 80's pop music like?). It sounded like they did it for fun as it was after Bubbles.

Hey guys, first time at a computer since the concert at budokan. Axl was really strong, THe Japanese fans pretty much only sang during choruses which was pretty funny, but I can understand since i`m trying to learn japanese.

mucc was pretty decent, cool stage presence, the bass player had an electric upright which is cool and their fans were hot.

A singleton Japanese fan tried to start the guns n roses chant (several times actuallY) before the show started which was pretty funny.

Frank sounded really good, I nevr thought i`d notice a drummer making so much of a difference.

Axl got on his knees during KOHD and crawled across the stage, prayer style? He omitted the sing along instructions, figuring it would be ?moot with the language barrier i guess. Because of that his entrances got off and the ending got confused. I`ll try and explain, normally he sings the chorus with crowd echoes thret times and then a break right? this time he sang twice and so it was confusing where the climactic one was. anyway the band got confused and the ending seemed a little improvised.

another minor glitch was axl almost missing an entrance before the first guitar solo in nr.

otherwise, everything was great. all the new songs need is... recognition.

i hope my english is ok, I`ve been living here in Japan awhile now >-<

Are you joking?

In Greece people broke the barriers and came into the VIP section (which sucked at first place but anyway) while running over the first ones who fell down ...  I thank God we didn't have victims last year...

Keith Tarrier of Rock and Roll All Nite has submitted the following report: "I was just at the historic Budokan in Tokyo [on July 18] to see GUNS N' ROSES. As well as [putting on] another awesome show here in Japan, GN'R invited special guest Bubbles [a.k.a. actor/musician Mike Smith] from the 'Trailer Park Boys' [Canadian comedy show/film] to sing that 'Liquor and Whores' song [which Smith performs in character on 'Trailer Park Boys']. Bubbles took front stage and the band played the whole song. The Japanese crowd were not too sure who Bubbles was, but they were into the song nonetheless as they knew this was something special to see. GN'R clocked in tonight's performance at just on two and a half hours. Once again they played 'Don't Cry'. Next GN'R move on to Osaka on [Saturday, July 21] to finish off their Japan tour."

I can write a long report on each song...but for now I report this...on the way back to the station a few guys before me were walking silent and one suddenly said to the others 'but...it was a real great show, wasn't it' and the others nod and said 'totally'. and then they were quiet again.
So I got that  they were silent not because they were tired but because still blown away by the show.

*I was at the arena and heard quite a few peeps singing along to the new songs. esp better...pretty surprising.

*I found L and W was not only fun but also good performance.

* IRS sounded urtra modern with wicked bass beats/sounds.

*when they came back for the encores, guiter guys were bare top and tommy had a few shiny tapes on his chest.

*when richard was playing his riff, axl tickled him on his sides.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. At the three concerts I've been to on this tour, there was a quite a big cheer when Better started and many were singing along. I found that pretty surprising too. Perhaps, the Japanese are downloading motherfuckers also...  rofl
