We had such a blast last night!!!!!! I started off the evening by having a little pre-party celebration bbq with a few friends.? We blasted AFD 3 times while eating and drinking wine & beer.? beer smoking? Then we headed over to BBKings around 11:45 and got there around midnight.? As soon as we got there we were warmly greeted by 2 awesome board members: Jaz & Ifinglovevr.? I bought the round of shots as promised and the band started around 12:30.? We went down in front (of course) and rocked out for 2 full hours!? Needless to say, my neck hurts from headbanging and my voice is hoarse from belting out every word to every song on the top of my lungs, yelling "play Civil War" in btwn songs (Jaz was yelling it with me-I so appreciated that) and chanting at the end "play one more" for at least 10 minutes!!!!!!!

The place was pretty packed...not sure how many people, 'cuz I'm bad at guessing.? The Axl was dead on!? He looked and sounded like him...and he did numerous outfit changes through out the night.? Slash was pretty spot on too.? The drummer was great...he later told ibelieveinaxl that his style was more Matt Sorum's than Steven Adlers.? The Izzy was okay....but The Duff was the absolute best!!!!? He looked like a fat Dee Snider from Twisted Sister!? I loved him!? And anytime he was in front of us we yelled "Duff" as loud as possilble and he was loving it! I think they really thought they were their characters...and we acted like they were the real Gn'R!?

Their final song was PC, so Jaz and I thought it was only appropriate to start a mosh pit!?

We met all the band members afterwards and took pics with them. Then the Slash ask my friend Amanda and I if we wanted to go back stage! LOL!? So, we did, but within the first 5 min. we remembered they were a cover band!?

Ifinglovevr grabbed the setlist afterward and gave it to me...I thought that was so cute!

Thanks to my posse last night: ibelieveinaxl, Jaz, Ifinglovevr, and Amanda for such a kick-ass, fun night...I couldn't have had any more fun or spent it with better people!? You guys ROCK!? peace

I'll post pics in a few.

Shame more guns fans didn't plan bigger celebrations.  totally snuck up on me that it was 20 years for AFD.  Been thinking of starting a NYC GNR Meetup group on Meetup.com.  Anyone interested in joining if I did it?  Could have listening parties, get togethers before/after concerts, check out other hard rock acts, cover bands etc.....

good way to meet people face to face instead of just talking on the computer....

said it before, will say it again....lived in nyc my whole life, and nyc loves GNR...going to see VR on august 18th at Jones Beach...ehhhh....whatever...excited to see Slash (huge slash fan, but whats happened to his playing over the past 3-4 years?!?!?), kinda wanna hear what they sound like since i last saw them.....but WAITING for GnR to return...

2002 Nyc MSG - best show of all-time, period.
First show in May 2006 (friday night), Nyc, second best show...VERY close to 2002 show.
November 2006 MSG- 3rd best show of all-time, for me anyway lol.
Sunday night May 2006, great show....hyper and energetic.
Sunday night 2006 New Jersey - the only GNR show ive seen that kinda was blah...sunday night, started too late, everyone was exhausted..if they started that show at like 1045, the place would have erupted./..it just ook too long for things to start, keyboard problems or not.

See now, who is the girl in these pics and why cant i find a hottie like that who likes GnR to marry me?

Do they keep you girls in a bag somewhere and only let you out for "special" occasions?
