Axl's handwritten lyrics for "Oh My God" given to me by Mr. Del James. According to Del, Axl had to re-write the lyrics out to be put in the teleprompter after several technical problems during the show at The Joint on 12.29.01 (which I witnessed!) especially during the performance of this song!
The photo is cut off a bit but Axl numbered each sheet in the right hand corner. I believe there are six sheets total and I know someone who has the second but would love to find everyone who has one & make a collage!

Wow I had a lot of those lyrics wrong lol
Wow that's amazing, so cool to see rarities like this appear. And yes, those lyrics are awesome indeed, shows Axl's exceptional gift.

Great photos from one (or 2) of the Vegas shows in the early decade (2000's). Such a shame that no video surfaced of the 3 Vegas shows which took place before and after Rio 2001. Would be amazing to see, GN'R was such a mythical and "strange" band back then, but in a good way.  Smiley

That 2001-2002 band was something magical. Musically & artistically incredible. I was fortunate to have seen them six times (would have been seven if not for the cancelation in Vancouver!) including the three Vegas shows in 2001.

In addition to the lyric sheet I also got a pair of Brain's drumsticks - one used beaten up one from the 01.01.01 show & one unused or in very good shape one from the 12.29.01 gig.

That 12.29 gig was awesome for in its own hectic, tense, technically challenged way. Axl's classic rant & so many other moments. Crazy that the security was so loose (compared to the insane security at HOB the year before) for those shows at The Joint yet no audio or video was captured.

What bums me out about the 01.01.01 show was that it was recorded & apparently manufactured on disc for a release (in Japan at least) and is sitting in a vault or warehouse somewhere, or worse in some lame ass "collector's" hands never to be seen by any of us true fans cause they want Axl's toothbrush & other ridiculous memorabilia in return.

Totally, out of everything in GN'R's vaults, this is the show that I would die to see. Can you imagine how amazing it would be to see the intro and Jungle from this show in DVD qaulity, and then the great set with Bucket, Robin, Paul and Brain. Would be AMAZING.

I agree. I was front & center at that show & my memories will last forever, but to see it again - to be able to watch it as a professionally recorded concert would be amazing.

That photo is great - any info on it?

It looks like the same child that Axl is seen with during the Estranged video, so I think it could maybe be Dylan.

I love this picture. He looks so happy and at ease.

I read at paradisecity.com that it's Dizzy's daughter Skye he's holding.

Rare pic indeed, I don't think I've ever seen him with short hair.  I assume that's mid-late 90's?

Remember when he got busted in the Phoenix airport in 1998?  That was the first pic of him in 4 years, and he had that same short hair.
