Well, the entire area is in a little bit of an emergency state, right now, isn't it?  People are losing their homes, and you're pissed because the concert was rescheduled to 6 wks from now?  Have mercy!

Im pissed because of the bullshit reason they gave. If those reasons were the case they should have called this show off days ago, not 24 hours before showtime

They're going from a 16000 capacity venue to 6000.

They are going from 30K to 6K. Verizon capacity is over 30K with the lawn. I believe 16K is just seats.
Not surprizing.

I don't really see the need to criticize VR  for playing at a venue that GNR played at last year?? Although I will give you this,? GNR played there 3 nights in a row.? ? ?

Duuuuuude, would you rather drive allllll that way to Irvine?

I think Universal sounds a lot better.

But that's just me.  Enjoy Van Halen until the VR show.  ok

No, they're free to play what venues they wish.

Simple math really.

Going from a venue with a capacity of more than twice of the new one.

If they wanted to match the capacity of the original venue, theres always the Staples Center or The Forum.

I guess this is now the December 12th show...

For the show VR have created a limited edition T-shirt of which part of the proceeds will go to Southern California fire victims. The Red Cross will also have a booth at the show for interested parties to offer their aid.

Yea I went.  I thought Scott sounded great and everyone played well, not to mention the setlist was different from when I saw them in Sept.   But during Sex Type Thing Scott did an even crazier rant then the one they played.   Normally they do the chant during that song, but for about two or three minutes before that, the  band is just jamming the instrumental, and Scott starts rambling like  "so who reads the news?....do YOU(pointing at someone) read the news...there's so many things out there..."  and after that I couldn't even follow what he was saying.  I doubt the band could either.  I imagine them just going WTF?   Then he went into his normal chant but it was really random before that.
