Axl knew back then that getting a new group of guys and trying to recreate GNR would be a moronic idea,  I wonder what happened  that made him change his mind?    Slash must have hurt him very badly  for him to be doing this right now.  I sometimes feel that this new GNR  is  more of an attempt  at payback/ revenge  towards  Slash than it is for Axl own personal need.   I think that if Slash would have left on good terms  and for an entirely different reason  we would not have a GNR right now and   Axl rose  would have probably   released  2-3  solo records(different name ) by now .   But by Using GNR name he is pretty much spitting in Slash's face . This is why Axl has taken so long to release this record  , he wants it to  be perfect and   make sure  he doesn't lose this "war" .   This is just a theory of mind  I could be full of shit .

This theory is correct. Axl told to Stereo Club's owner that he wants the world to know who was the main ingredient of Guns N'Roses...  Undecided
Personally, I don't give a shit who was the main ingredient of Guns N'Roses, I just know that his new band is not Guns N'Roses.

I beg to differ, and respectfully say , get somewhat of a life cause basically all who were invloved and are gone now, (as far as the origional lineup, and have been little by little during the 90s, . So either get over it or just find another band, cause your wasting time waiting for something that will not be, and bringing..............well not really people down that really do care about GNR now. SUCK ON THAT!.

It is pretty interesting watching the interview and knowing what we know now.  Everything he talked about then that he couldn't imagine doing or didn't want to do, he's doing.  Kind of eerie, just shows how things can change over time.
