« on: May 11, 2003, 08:11:21 AM »

I was just thinking ain't it cool when GN'R come up in a film in some form or another i was watching My Teacher's Wife last night when this girl started playing pinball on a GN'R pinball machine just thought it was pretty cool for them to be on tv...........so this topic isn't wasted with one little film mention how about everyone mentions what films they've seen a GN'R reference of some sort in

In an episode of Saved By the Bell, where the teachers and students swap places for a week; Zack becomes Principle.... He decorates his office with posters, right behind his head is an early poster of GNR.  I found that quite cool when I saw it

In one episode of the Drew Carey show they were auditioning guitar players in Drew's backyard and Slash was sitting on a picnic bench playing but he didn't get the gig 'cause he was too good.  Joe Walsh got the gig.  It was a really funny show.  [hihi]

Axl was mentioned on Sam Kinison's album, "Live from Hell". Kinison was talking about how he missed the Joan Rivers show and the media made such a big deal about it, but other celebs did worse. he mentioned that Axl had a warrant out for his arrest in MI. for inciting a riot with $300, 000 damage done.

Slash also appeared on Kinison's "Leader of the Banned" album, he played on Kinison's cover of "Highway to Hell"

Also in the Simpsons, when Apu "sells" his kids to the zoo for an exhibit (his wife gives birth to 8) they are introducing the kids and one is re-named Animal and as he is lowered to the stage, WTTJ plays.
