I still have a full head of hair, but I'm only 16.

I think Justin Hawkins managed the receding hair line quite well, until he started with the hair plugs in 2005 or so. Thankfully he looks normal again now though.

I walked into the washroom at work a while ago and kind of caught a guy combing the little wispy hairs on the top of his head into a kind of combover thing.
the fringe of hair he still had was kind of long and curly and gross.

I just remember thinking, I cant believe this guy actually works to maintain this hairstyle! it would look a million times better jsut shaved

While I agree that someone shouldn't try and make their hair look like its not receding, I dont see whats wrong with having some baldness as long as you dont go to drastic measure to cover it up. I'm not a fan of a shaved head, and I dont foresee a time at which I'd want one.

Some people look horrible with their heads shaved though. They're probably better off just letting the baldness do its thing.

skinny guys with a shaved head look kinda creepy for some reason.

Uh, no it's not, and no they don't.

Ah, yes it is and yes they do. I speak from experience. Since you don't, I don't think you should comment. Smiley

Yeah, that's why hairplugs, transplants, and wigs are they business they are.....

Women everywhere flock to bald men Roll Eyes

Wigs and shit are big business because:

1) Most guys are insecure and don't want the world to know they are balding.
2) Can't be bothered with the effort to keep their head shaved.
3) Have lumpy odd shaped heads and can't pull off the shaved look.

I'm not saying that ALL women loved shaved heads but there are enough out there that it's not a fetish thing at all.

Definitely. At least with the bigger and the muscle bound you just think, yeah, that makes sense.

Confidence comes from within.  The same dudes who are insecure with their thinning hair are going to be the same insecure guys with wigs or Rogaine,etc....it's just their insecurities will manifest themselves around other perceived deficiencies.

I've noticed this with some of the new teachers that I've seen at school. A few guys in their early to mid 20's (20-25) are balding pretty rapidly. A math teacher here who was my baseball coach is almost completely bald and he's 24. I'm loosing it at a pretty quick pace too. no

I particularly enjoy the info-mercials calling baldness, "an epidemic!"   rofl  Man, I wonder how many people have died of baldness!   hihi

ya the thing that has me most convinced about people balding younger is:

I would say that 90% of the people I know that are around 21-25, have dads with better heads of hair than them. I know people are gunna say that its just coincidence but it seems very odd that all these 50+ year olds generally seem to have more hair than todays young adults.

Im convinced something is causing this and personally blame all the crap they put in foods nowadays among other things.

Is it real or is it Memorex?  Can you prove the fathers aren't using unnatural means to sport their thick quaffs?  If you're in an upper-middle to high class area, that might be the case.

I wouldn't fear the food additives.  I grew up eating a ton of garbage and I'm not balding at 34.

Have you seen your friend's grandfathers?  Ask for pics, it just might creep them out though.  hihi

since science is apparently getting raped in this thread i just want to say that hats DO NOT cause baldness...

male pattern baldness is caused by the effect of androgens on genetically predisposed hair follicles. So i guess that steroids in foods may be partly

responsible for this increase.

nervous  Oh no!  I'm having flashbacks to Polluxlm's posting that the first fluoridated water was used by the Nazis on the Warsaw ghettos or something like that!  hihi

Chlorine to kill dangerous bacteria, and fluoride to make sure we Americans don't end up with British teeth! (that's a joke btw, think Austin Powers)  peace

btw, I don't think fruits and vegetables have steroids or hormones...perhaps you meant the harmless use of genetically altered fruits/veggies?
