I read that Axl is a Tiger...Do lions inhabit the jungle?  Huh

It is one of the highligths of the record, no doubt.
My favorite Robin 's guitar solo.

You said it!

I agree. Robin deserved something like "Thanks Robin for the great melodic guitar" although...
I mean I know that Axl wrote the concept, body, structure (or whatever you call it) of the song, in the case "This I Love", but Robin's guitar solo is too important or it has too much prominence to not including him in the credit of the song, assuming Robin wrote the guitar solo of course....

I love you Axl, but I'm also one of "those" Slash supporters haha...

Said this song has been worked on since 1993. So their might be a version of the song with the old band we might not know about.

This I Love is one of the highlights of the album.

But there is one little thing that kinda bugs me about the song. And that is, when the drums come in. I feel that the closed hihat kinda rushes/hurries the song along... know what I mean?   Undecided  I feel that if Brain had used the ride instead of the hihat, it would fit more with the beautiful, smooth and calm feel of the song...

That's the only small part of the entire album where I caught myself thinkin; "Oh no... they should've done this instead of that...."

I know it seems like knitpicking, but I think about that part every time I listen to it...

As much as I agree with you, I think this kind of thing would feed this nonsense about Axl vs. Slash vs. Robin and so on...

And I'm sure he wrote the guitar solo. I mean, riffs and stuff I think they can write and give to someone to play, but solo is more like a personal thing. Just like Ron did with Riad solo, totally diferent from what Robin and Bucket recorded previously.

If they do not release this as a single then we can all go home and call it a day. This song, if released, WILL save the album(in terms of sales). Its the only song they have in the chamber that can cross many demograhics.

the world didn't end in 1999 thanks god.

I don't think it is the scam...I d say it's more like the Serenade from The Fair Maid of Perth by Bizet of cd/gnr.

What I meant is that TIL is the song that will put Nu-GNR back on the map.

The new and improved GNR. Or in layman's terms GNR without Slash.

I'll say this one last time.

This song will be a major late summer hit on commercial rock radio.

Book it.

50 Songs Every Man Should Be Listening To

March 13, 2009

Esquire magazine's annual guide to music shares their favorite new (and sort of new) songs they like. Simple as that. Heard 'em all?

24. "This I Love," Guns N' Roses (Chinese Democracy)
Because on this song, more than any other on Chinese Democracy, Axl is Axl. And that's all we've been waiting for the last fifteen years.
