I love Buckethead as well.  Cheesy

One of my fond memories of Rock In Rio 01, was Robins' and Buckets solo before My Michelle. You can tell that it was a special moment and a unique one at that. 2 Lead Guitarists coming together in the name of GN'R, to play a short but memorable piece.

If you watch it back, you can see Robin stare into Buckets mask, to try to work out what's coming next, and who plays what. I think it shows just how unplanned and random that duet was, and that makes it even more cool, because it came off brilliantly.  love

I ordered his new Banjo CD "Spinal Clock."   It is really amazing.   I think it is one of the best albums he has done.   He makes it sound like "Buckethead" instead of just silly banjo music.  He really shreds on it, and there are parts where you would think it was the guitar, but then he slows down and you can hear the banjo.   The songs all sound really dark too.   By the end of the last song, I was completely blown away.

The new album is brilliant! The Siphoning Sequence is a masterpiece.

Lots of synth on this album too, which blends well to his bass/drum/guitar receipe. God, what an artist! peace

I love Buckethead, when I think of Chinese Democracy, I instantly think of Buckethead, Robin and Brain.

I'm jealous of those who saw him with GN'R as I only became a fan in 2004. I'm still hoping to see him live someday, but at the moment he only seems to do shows in the US.  Undecided

Why do you need vocals?

Buckethead released some solid albums this year.   His last two, Captain EO's Voyage and Left Hanging are really amazing.   I also liked Kind Regards and Spinal Clock, and Shadows Between the Sky.

I love this album.  I would give it no less than a 9.2 out of 10.    Every song on it is good, the guitar solos are amazing and very melodic. Everyone should do themselves a favor and BUY this, to support real talent like Buckethead.

Agreed on all points.

This is his strongest album in quite some time.

Glad to see that Buckethead was at NAMN this year, saw a picture of him on facebook. And it looks like he has ditched the plain white bucket, he started sporting a few years ago.

The one he has on in the pic, looks like the KFC style one, but I think the KFC logo wasn't there.

Was it because of copyright that led to Bucket not being able to use the KFC name on his bucket?. If it was, how stupid of KFC. Free promotion from a slim, and healthy person, who just happens to be a legend on the guitar with thousands of fans all over the world. And on top of that you deny free promotion from someone who was in the biggest band ever, in Guns N' Roses.

The mind boggles...  Roll Eyes

Good to see he's still prolific with the new music but it's hard to keep up eh lol

I thought "Spinal Clock", the banjo album was great and also "Brain as Hamenoodle" was different.

Apparently at some point he may also produce a follow up to "Enter the Chicken" with Serj Tankian, which would be great, I enjoyed that album.

Would be nice also if he finally comes down to play in Australia.

I wonder why Buckethead doesn't tour outside of the US, has he even toured anywhere other than the US other than being associated with GN'R?.

I would totally go to see him if he came to Europe, and I'm sure many other fans will.  Smiley

Off hand, I don't think he has done any appearances out of US as a solo artist, if he did, he probably appeared with other artists.
