SLAM DUNK!!!

« on: March 28, 2009, 12:25:03 AM »

This is a UK mag so it only got to the USA newsstands now.
This "Bumble in the Jungle" is a different interview than the other mag's "Bumble in the Jungle"  hihi
The first pic is an advertisement.  The pics of Ron wearing the dark hat are credited to Jesse Wild.  The pic of Ron wearing the red cap is credited to Simon Frederick/Getty.

Bumblefoot is my man! Gotta love him, that's a nice interview. All of his interviews are of this level of cool.

And I gotta make a signature out of this:

very nice read!

i really enjoyed the fact that he decided not to tour for abnormal and put gnr first. this is the mentality i expect from gnr members ok

he seems a really cool, down to earth guy beer

Great read, thanks Gypsy. Smiley

I didn't know about his new Vigier guitar with floyd rose, the thimble hole (lol) AND a killswitch. I hope he uses it live to play Bucket parts (like Riad ending). Cheesy

Yeah I guess Merck wasn't that good of a manager and seemed kind of a jerk.

Yeah, like I said....good read but hard to read......delete....sorry to have an opinion.  I have also posted a Ron Thal question and answer deal.  It was just as interesting and I didn't make it so hard to read or delete a post regarding as much.   Lighten up.  It's an opinion that may help... Huh

Two questions:

- Will Ron's new guiter (doubleneck) have the Killswitch button or he was talking about an "old" guitar?

- He did that interview before Dj Ashba come in? "No Tour Plans" seems a little old situation now that we have a new guitar player

New Double neck will have a kill switch because it was a made to order for Ron, besides having one on a previous guitar.  I believe he said there were only 2 being made.  He likes to keep it simple....I can't imagine that it wouldn't have anything that his other guitars didn't already have.

He seems to go with the flow and either way he seems to be a guy who'd be happy to be the lead or one of the leads or even do his own thing.  Whatever is best for the band, is best for him.  He respects past, present and future projects with GNR regardless of who is in the band as long as he's doing what he wants to do and that's play guitar and contributing in GNR or not.

The interview was done in December when BBF was in the UK doing promo stuff and the mag went on sale in the UK in the second week of February.

Think we'll have to wait and see regarding the double neck.

The new Vigier BBF signature has a killswitch though, this is what I believe he was referring to.

If I'm not mistaking, Morrisey gave good ol' Merckk the boot as well not so long ago so yeah, there's def something uncool about Merck. Believeing anything else would be pretty naive.

On the other hand, I can understand Finck frustration. He had problems with Bucket being in the band and seeing how Ron got a lot of space on this record taking some of the industrial Finckish sound off of it. Putting more "sleeze" on to it must be kind of hard for Robin to deal with.

Makes sence to me tho that Ron got more space than Finck, but I understand Fincks message and I respect that.

Bumblefoot is a true professional and an extremely under-rated musician.
Quite possibly the best guitar player to ever play for this band.

isn't morrissey also managed by azoff now?

Sorry but I'm not sure about your other hand. Robin had problems?  Huh has anyone in the now told you those or it's your imagination?

It's not imagination the thing about Robin and Bucket. It's my imagination tho that he might have felt over run by Bumblefoot when he joined the band. I bet it must have felt like shit when he came in so late and got so much space on the album and live.

Like I said, and I should have pointed it out, this is only me speculating.

I vaguely remember there being rumors of BH and Robin not liking eachother back in 2002, and that they maybe even got into a fight.

Tommy did say he was glad BH was gone though a few years back.
