for those interested:

full Axl/Bruce performance on there, alternate angles than the unofficial circulating version, lots of backstage Axl footage, Axl -> Elton John introduction speech, Axl with Elton in press conference (he is talking!!!  Grin), high video bitrates, audio in Dolby Digital 2.0 (192kbps) and Dolby Digital 5.1 (448kbps) "only" though.

very cool release in my book!!

full Axl/Bono performance on there

Bono?

Or is it Bruce Springsteen? Smiley Would be cool to see an official release of the U2 feat. Axl live performance though, even though it's not RN'R Hall of Fame related, I believe.

It looks like a cool release, but is it only sold in a boxset? It'd be cool to get only the DVD with Axl.

Is there a way to get only the DVD with Axl?
I saw a 3 DVD set sold for $30 but of course it's not there I guess.

This 9 DVD boxset is at 110-120$. I think it's pretty expensive just to get the footage with Axl (of course the rest is interesting, but anyway). I didn't see how we can order it anyway from Europe, besides Amazon.com (which is more expensive)?

I'd pay $20-25 to get the DVD with Axl, but I'm not willing to pay $120 for the boxset.

The NYC Bitch Committee has this set, you can likely get the single disc from them!

U2 have been more cool with releasing official footage.....so its up to their fans to make pressure on this one  Grin

U2 have been more cool about a lot of things, but that's not the issue lol. The last official GN'R footage we have is from 1992 lol. Last official. 1992. lol

We're in 2009. Almost 2010 lol.

I don't think U2 will ever release that, because most U2 fans don't care much about that performance lol. A lot of us/ them cared about the performance in Dublin 2001 (which is most of the reasion why they released it on DVD)...but from some show in Vienna almost 18 years ago, I don't know lol.

If anybody has any idea how to get the DVD with Axl/ Springsteen '94, please let me know!

It was added on Sept 22nd, 2008 - so I don't think this is the newest version; looks almost identical to me, just a bit clearer.

^^this is the official release version. biggest differences compared to the "old" leaked unofficial other version:

- quality is better
- cam angle stage left is new
- new version is shorter (they did cut some in the end)

old:

new:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YqsLixfMvg&feature=related

i agree its VERY weird with the date being added as the new verion wasnt officially released end of september'09 Huh
