I saw one VH1 100 Best (of something - I don't remember, but I think either hard rock or heavy metal) and WTTJ was # 2 and Sabbath's Iron Man was # 1. I think SCOM and PC also were somewhere on the list. Actually, I think PC made the top 20. But it was a few years ago.

I think VH1 first aired that over a year or so ago. I remember watching it, and I kept getting annoyed at the absence of GNR. WTTJ is the only GNR song on the list, but at least it's at number one.

There was another countdown show of the greatest heavy metal songs, and GNR had at least three spots on it, with WTTJ #2.

No artist had more than one entry on the list (unless you count solo Ozzy +. Sabbath, Haggar + Van Halen, etc.).

There have to be 100 GN'R songs in order to have 100 GN'R songs on a 100 song best-of list.

Are you sure? I thought ACDC had a few on there.

There was one song from the Bon Scott era and one from the Brian Johnson era.

Music TV and magazines now pretty much never stop recycling 'Top 100 of All Time' lists. I guess they think it's a great substitute for actual content.
