Adler's Appetite Recording New Music, Plans European Tour

ADLER'S APPETITE, the band led original GUNS N' ROSES drummer Steven Adler, has been in the studio all week putting together new original music for a spring/summer release. "The songs sound great," says Adler, "It feels so good to finally be moving forward and doing this with this lineup. It's been a long time coming, but will be worth the wait."

ADLER'S APPETITE is planning on debuting some of the new songs at the Key Club on April 10. They are also in the process of approving dates for a European tour set to start mid-May.

ADLER'S APPETITE's current lineup is rounded out by vocalist Rick Stitch (of the Los Angeles-based group LADYJACK), guitarists Alex Grossi (HOOKERS 'N' BLOW, ex-QUIET RIOT) and Michael Thomas (FASTER PUSSYCAT) along with bassist Chip Z'nuff (ENUFF Z'NUFF).

It was rumored that the new ADLER'S APPETITE was to be produced by Slash, after Steven Adler made a guest appearance on Slash's album playing on a track with Flea of RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS. However Alex Grossi has said that there was "good possibility that he will contribute something to our record."

It would be nice to see but I sincerely hope this works out for him because its not been very good for Steven Adler and touring so far, and last time, things seemed to fall apart in Europe

ADLER'S APPETITE To Release 'Alive' Single - July 9, 2010

ADLER'S APPETITE ? the band led by former GUNS N' ROSES drummer Steven Adler ? has finished recording and mixing its new single, "Alive", with longtime friend and producer Anthony Focx (VINCE NEIL, BUCKCHERRY). The group is planning on debuting the song live as part of its summer tour, which will kick off Friday, July 9 in Redondo Beach, California.

"We are really excited to be moving forward with original material," says ADLER'S APPETITE guitarist Alex Grossi. "I think people are really going to like the direction we are going in."

I will admit it...yes it does.  When Adler plays it, it has a lot of momentum, force, and adrenalin.  I can't wait for the new material.  I totally support Adler, I think he is a real rocker.

before anyone jumps the gun, i am not comparing it to this or saying its better than that, but just listening to their version as it is, not trying to compare it to something else, it kicks ass.

I love hearing Adler drum. people that try to make him out as insignificant to the band and its success are fooling themselves.

I love hearing Adler drum.

Does the variety of the tracks keep the gig interesting?

"I'm attracted to the Steven Adler groove. He was definitely an important part of the [Guns N' Roses] puzzle. In playing these songs I don't have much liberty in changing the parts. If I'm playing a Guns N' Roses song I want to play the song. I pride myself in getting all those cool fills in. I related to the new [Slash solo] album a lot because it's got a very AC/DC groove on a lot of the drum parts."

Slash's drummer Brent Fitz knows what's up. With no prompting he makes sure to mention how important Steven's drumming was, as well as Adler's killer groove.

Most fans and non-musicians don't value drummers nor understand their importance, with the general opinion being you can just stick anyone back there. It is not surprising to me in the least to see an actual musician who plays the instrument recognize Adler's unique style and why it was important to the GNR sound.

This is the right attitude to have, and it is nice to see reverence being paid to the GNR material as it should be.

Clearly it's a shame we didn't have that drumming longer in GNR.
Hell wish Steven would get the chance to do something with Axl.

Can wait to get all Adlers appitite's new songs on my iPod!!!!!
