Shocked Wow, the 3rd highest seller of the week is expected to sell about 30-40k copies. The music business really is in the toilet

You should have seen the cover they wanted to do. It wasn't a glove, believe me.

SLASH's 'Apocalyptic Love' Cracks U.S. Top 5 - May 30, 2012

Legendary guitarist Slash's (VELVET REVOLVER, GUNS N' ROSES) second solo album, "Apocalyptic Love", sold around 38,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 4 on The Billboard 200 chart.

It is-Madonna just set a record for the largest drop from 356,000 to 46,000 this week-people just really don't buy albums like they used to.

yeah that Madonna thing is also deceptive.  The record was included  when you bought tickets to  see her in concert which is why it had such inflated sales the first week.  The truth was it is a bad record, and nobody was interested in it.

In addition, APOCALYPTIC LOVE is exploding internationally as the album is also Top 5 in seven countries outside the U.S.: Canada (#2), Australia (#2), New Zealand (#1), Germany (#5), France (#7), Japan (#2), Sweden (#4) and Switzerland (#3).

That's awesome!   ok

Not really, just certain artists aren't doing well. The week Slash's album was released, John Mayer's solo album also debuted and sold 220,000 copies the first week out. Also Jack White, Lincoln Park and Maroon 5 have also had very sales.

This Slash album just kind of fell short.
