I've been having a weird issue here when I log in for about a year and I keep forgetting to ask if anyone has a resolution.

Almost every time I log in, I have to do it 3 times. I type user name and the correct password, then it asks me to do it again, then it almost always goes to a different screen that says "What we've got here is..." at the top. Then I have to go back to the main page and log in again and it always works. Anyone know why that happens almost every time?

Happens occasionally to me too. Don't know why. Never figured it out...  Undecided

Ok cool. I was figuring it was just some weird unknown bug but thought "it never hurts to ask"

If it happens to you two, I feel better  hihi

That just started happening to me recently as well, often.  When you get the second screen, if you hit refresh/reload it will log you in.

Weird.  Not to sound stupid, but, like, well........I don't log in.  I logged in with "forever", I have the place "book marked" and when I click on it, I'm just here.  I don't ever log in.  Why are you having to do that?  Why do you have to log in?  Just asking....

I also have it set to log in automatically too but I still get that weird error sometimes.

It asks me to login a second time too. But like w.axl.rose I just click on any random link (mostly 'show new replies to your posts') and you'll see it did log you in.

I use Firefox.  I used to have weird issues with IE, though.  Maybe it's the server being used.

It might be related to the URL used to access the forum. For example, if you're logged in at http://www.heretodaygonetohell.com/board/index.php remove the www part (http://heretodaygonetohell.com/board/index.php) and you'll find that you're logged out, even though its the same page. If you're HTGTH bookmark doesn't include the www, but logging in to the forum redirects to the www version that could cause this issue.

It might not be at all related to this. If it is though then it can be resolved by Jarmo by forcing the www for all visitors using htaccess (http://www.jhuskisson.com/code-tidbits/force-www-in-your-url-using-htaccessSmiley

The same also happens if your bookmark is set to "http://htgth.com/board" - my password fails everytime but I'm redirected to the full URL (http://www.heretodaygonetohell.com/board) where my password then works  Smiley It might just be an issue for me, but if it effects everyone then a htaccess redirect from the short url to the full url should fix it  peace
