YouTube Embedding Option?

Not sure if this has ever been brought up, but is that possible here? I'm sure it is but was wondering if there was ever any thought of adding that to the features of the board.

I assume embedding means being able to just post the video with [video]name of video[/video], right?  So, it's right there and you can just click on it. 

Great question, cotis!  And it was never answered by anyone, other than D's showing us something that's 3 yrs old. 

I want to know too - is this possible here?  If not - why not?  Much easier viewing.  Easier to see what it is.  No leaving the site unless you want to.  This place is worried about bandwidth because of it?  Huh? And what's with this answer (again from 3 yrs ago) "We have two youtube threads, I think those are more than enough to satisfy our viewing needs."  That doesn't even make any sense in regard to the original question - I don't think.

I have, and also had in the past, my reasons for not adding this feature.

But that doesn't mean it won't be added in the future.

I know some boards require updates and what not to get the feature available, not sure if the forum software would require an upgrade but I could see that as a hindrance.
