Couple quick observations.

Who was the hot tattoo chick on the screen during  scom

Axl told a manson story.

Band was having fun dancing with each other during pc.

Axl vocals were perfect and his volume was up.  You could hear him perfect

The pyro was amazing.  Best gnr show since 91 for me.

The chick was from the audience.

The arena wasnt packed but it was a good turn out.

I was front row right corner. Awesome show! It might've topped Hammerstein.

Also, got to see the great Jarmo! And a few others.

Just got back from the show...will give a quick review.

Got there at 5:45 and got a really decent spot in line...ended up going in and getting second row right in front of the left side of the stage if facing it.  Lots of fights on the floor GA area...three right around me alone with like one guy getting his forehead busted open, security stayed busy.  Baz tore it up, had to throw out a douche that was pushing a girl around in front of him.
After Baz's set that's when all the fighting was going on, it was like white trash central!  Lots of weed being smoked in the pit.  Ended up in front row thanks to guys fighting between each other in front of us.
Crowd was pretty restless during the break and lots of douchebags drinking way too much.  GNR comes out at 11:15 on the dot and from note 1 IT WAS AMAZING!!!! Axl was spot on, in the other three times I've seen him I don't think he's come close to how he was last night.  He seemed to be having a pretty good time.  Richard was awesome and shook my hand and threw me a pick which bounced off my chest and onto the floor to never be found...DJ and Bumble were awesome coming in front of us too.
I can't begin again to say how amazing the band was, they freaking tore every song up.  It was a non-stop party.  As far as the crowd, not that it really matters but I think it was just a little over half full.  The upper section only had people scattered in about 4 sections and it was pretty much empty and the whole back of the arena was empty in the seats...After November Rain we left the front row to get water and stayed in the back of the GA section...it was about half empty too I'd say.  Almost caught Axl's mic, it fell about 2 feet in front of me.
The only thing I didn't like was being up front right by the speakers...it was sooooo loud that you couldn't hear the guitars in the mix over the drums and bass...once we got to the back it was waaaaaay better.  I can't say again how insanely awesome Axl's voice was tonight, especially during You Could Be Mine, Rocket Queen and This I Love.
GO SEE THIS BAND, they are great and will shatter your eardrums.

I only saw some YT clips from this concert, but this line up is way better than this from 91-93!
And it's good to see, that they are still playing Shackler's, love that song!!

Got to the show last night around 9, caught a good bit of Sebastian (just saw him at a small club about a week and 1/2 ago--interesting difference between that and the big stage show) As soon as he was done i started working my way up on the floor, figuring a lot of people would be going for beers, smokes, etc. Got to within about 20 feet from the stage -- the closest i've ever been for GnR. Talking to some people around me who haven't seen the new lineup yet. Last time i saw them was in Toronto in 2010, way up in the back, but I assured them the new guys rock. Around 11 people started getting really restless, booing started (i honestly think Axl waits for some boos before he comes out--i always think it's hilarious when the same people who are bitching n booing are going crazy when the show starts) So, the show starts at 11:15 and right from the the getgo it fucking rocked! I honestly don't think Axl has ever sounded better. After a few songs this hot chick i was talking to asked me if he always sounds so good. The band was awesome and everyone looked like they were having fun onstage. As the show went on, people moved out and i was able to get to where there was about 6 people between me and the stage, pretty close to center stage. Fucking incredible! A lot of the fun for me was listening to people around me going on about how blown away they are by this lineup. A lot of people around me were singing along to the new songs, which was cool. Afterwards, the guy next to me said he was speechless -- but he couldn't stop talking about how awesome the show was. He said he felt like he just witnessed an "event", like he saw Zeppelin or something. The band is on fire and Axl's voice is fucking amazing. A lot of people were making comments about how incredible he sounded. My personal favorites of the night were "Estranged" and "Rocket Queen", and just seeing Axl laughing and and dancing and smiling as much as he was -- these guys are definitely having a blast. At about the 2 hour mark, when the band started another song, a dude in front of me said "are they gonna play all fuckin' night?!?". I told him we still had a ways to go. He was really into it. I mentioned to one guy that a lot of people are missing out on these shows because they're hung up on this not being "the original band". He said "no -- it's better!"  He was also wondering how Axl does it night after night. Listening to people in the parking lot afterwards, i don't think anyone had a bad time. Great fucking show, met some cool people. I had a 2 1/2 hour drive home, part of it thru some hellish fog, but i was still pumped up when i got home. The best part is -- this was just a tuneup for the show in Camden this Saturday! I have pit tickets there, a hot date, and a hotel room, so as much as this  was probably my favorite concert so far, i have a feeling that the Camden show will be better yet! Can't fucking wait!

Posting from my phone, so I'll keep it short.

Phenomenal show, just EPIC.

This band is on fire. Greatest band on the world. No other band comes close.

Was on the rail between Ron and Richard all night. The interaction with the crowd is awesome. The band rules.

Axl is sounding better than ever. His vocals were perfect all night. Lots of power and rasp.

Caught a pick from Rich and a stick from Frank.

Didn't see Jarmo or Fernando. Would have liked to say hi!

I'll post more when I get back to an actual computer!

Like the banner than Axl held up last night said...

"GNR - They're Back!"
