i really can't say anything about this show (or these shows) that hasn't already been said. one of the best gnr shows ever. one of the best concerts i've ever seen, period.

one thing i'll say is that when you watch a youtube clip or read a setlist online, it does the show absolutely no justice. and live rock music isn't meant to be watched from your office at 8am. it's meant to be experienced, in person, so you can see all the visuals and feel the vibe of the event. and this show is as good as it gets.

my personal random thoughts/observations from last night:
- Axl told a story about meeting a guy whose brother was writing a book about Charles Manson. and this guy told Axl that CM makes spiders from threads from his underwear, and that it could take over a year to make one. Axl said something like "i have no idea why i am sharing this, but thought you might find it fucking funny.?  it was hilarious!
- at the very end of the show, i thought Axl said something like "sorry for being late...." anyone else hear that, and if so, what did he say?
- Axl, Tommy, and DJ were skipping around in a circle together at the beginning of PC. again, funny stuff.
- Axl runs all over the stage. as much as he ever has. and at times he is running while singing and he doesn't miss a beat. he's in really good shape.
- Someone threw a t-shirt to Axl at the beginning of Nightrain. he held it up and it said "Irving Azoff is an asshole." he was really laughing and showed it to DJ too.
- Axl's mic turned off for a few seconds right after that. he just took it in stride, although i'm not 100% sure he noticed.
- Axl held up a banner that someone threw. it said something like "GnR....They're Back!"
- Crowd was mostly people in their 30?s and 40?s, but there were a good amount of people younger than that too. I also saw some teenagers there, many of whom were with their parents.
- Crowd got really restless waiting. There were a lot of boos. I saw one lady (she was about 50) in the first level screaming top of her lungs ?f*ck you, you mutherf*ckers?.? with her middle fingers up in the air.  There was no one there so she wasn?t directing that at anyone in particular. She looked really ridiculous.
- It was douche-bag central down on the floor. I had to move twice cause guys around me were just being assholes. And there were a number of fights too.
- DJ threw a drum stick (which he was using to play his guitar during Madagascar) to a girl in the first level right next to the stage. She caught it and a guy behind her grabbed it almost at the same time and yanked it so hard that he pulled her and the guy she was with into the row behind them. It looked violent. This poor girl was in shock and just had a nice memento stolen from her.
- It is a LOUD concert. Especially a song like CD that has a lot going on in it. just really powerful.
- I thought the acoustics in the venue were average. It sounded like there was an echo, or maybe some distortion at times.
- Baz stopped a song in the middle and went OFF on some dude. He was really pissed. Said something about the dude hitting a girl. He was cursing at this guy and really ANGRY! He got security to throw him out and kept cursing at him as he was being escorted out. Then he says ?have fun in jail you dumb fuck while we?re all enjoying guns n roses!? it was awesome!!!

It's good to hear the shows are LOUD. As long as I can hear Axl loud, I'll be very pleased.

Axl's voice souded perfect.  Love the way they performed here especially with that ending solo.  Check it out!

Spot on my thoughts also

After he said sorry for being late ..  it sounded like he said he was having issues.

During and after they bowed to the crowd you could feel the heart felt love they had for the crowd and each other. No hurry to leave the stage.  They enjoyed it as much as the fans

Truly amazing night.  They are back.  06 was awsome but it has gotten even better.

Amazing show!  Had the best time!!  beer

Not much more to add about the show, but wanted to comment on my friend.  She met me there more out of blast from the past because we used to follow GNR around back in the day.  Now she once again can't stop talking about them.  She said that she was very surprised and super impressed with Axl and didn't expect to be blown away like that!  ok
