Here Today...

« on: January 27, 2012, 09:52:32 PM »

I was thrilled to see Estranged being added to the setlist and I'm really delighted GNR are returning to Ireland. I don't know about anyone else but I'd love to see 'Don't Damn Me' added to the setlist. It's a fucking great Guns song and I think its often been overlooked. Please Guns N' Roses, play this song it's fuckin' class!!!  beer!

Okay, I like that song.

I won't be in Europe though, sorry.  Wait, there's always youtube and maybe live streams so hey I think I can vote.

The bottom three would be possible in my opinion, Coma is so intense, especially the last 3 1/2 minutes that would completely fuck up any chance of finishing a show, with any other songs.

As good as Axl is, Coma is an insane song to do live see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBFildWptl4 this could never be a tour staple song, if we the fans are lucky the band get to do 1 appearance of the song and have to hope that we get to see it on youtube,

I think that Coma was a staple tour song in 1992 for a while. They even opened with it, don't remember the date and venue though.

to my knowledge Coma has been played only 3 or 4 times in total live.
the 3 i remember right now are Chicago, Omaha and Tokyo and possibly one more time.....
once with Izzy and 2 or 3 with Gilby, not 100% sure....don't need it to be a staple tour song.
but they need to revive this monster if not every night, then atleast once or twice(obviously we will need a sbd or pro-shot boot of it then;))

but my god, it would be the best version ever i think if the boys got to do their thing with it nowadays

Coma live:

06.04.91 - Richfield Coliseum, Richfield, OH
02.19.92 - Toyko Dome, Tokyo, Japan
04.09.92 - Rosemont Horizon, Rosemont, IL
04.10.93 - Omaha Civic Auditorium, Omaha, NE

The one bonus about the internet, is that a band can play a song live that they haven't in a long time, and there will always be videos out there youtube for us to watch. Granted, I would have loved to have heard whole lotta rosie back in 2010 when I saw the band, but thankfully, with vids, I can watch it whenever I want.

So yeah, I fully support Gunners throwing out the odd rarity on stage for one or two nights, so that we can all enjoy them in some form or another....

Like something from The Spaghetti Incident....anything...just....one song...ya know....anything?   hihi

Interesting, as "Don't Damn Me" is one of the few GNR songs never performed live.

That doesn't mean anything.  Contrary to Axl's recent remarks, most GNR songs did involve Slash's songwriting input, and it hasn't stopped them from playing them.

I doubt that, its a Guns N Roses song, I dont think anything would stop Axl from playing one of his own songs if he felt like it.

You sayed the same thing about 'Estranged' and 'Civil War', and GN'R anno 2011 owned these two songs... Do you still have any questions?

Well first off, I didn't sayed those things about those 2 songs. Someone else may have. Also, those aren't really thought of as Slash songs. When I say a Slash song, I mean one that he wrote all the music for and then Axl came along with lyrics. Coma is another example. Estranged was an Axl song. Civil War was a band song. And no, I don't still have any questions. Never did.

In fact, they could play every single song they didn't played since 199x, because of this argument, that this song has only one owner (for an example  Slash), and that's why this song can not be played live, is worth nothing for me

I would love to hear this song live one day. I think it would be hard to sing live. Sad this and Shotgun Blues has never been played live yet.

I didn't realize playing a song four times in a almost three year tour made it a "setlist staple"...in referance to Coma.

Oddly enough this is a song I said I wanted to hear in Chicago.  Dont Damn Me and Breakdown would be epid.  I'd be good if they just played those 2 and Estranged for my $183.
