I've only been to HoB once, for Anthrax/Dio in '05 - and I didnt drive.  What do they charge for their Valet?

Hah, I'd love to get drunk...but the 3 hour drive home with expired tags...I'd be a sitting duck.

Yeah, I was thinking I might park as close to the venue as I can when I get into town so I can drink prior to the show. By the time the show starts, I'll have to cut myself off there. I don't have the expired tags problem, but I also don't want to drive 4 1/2 hours back to Detroit with even a little bit of a buzz.

Well to be fair, the description didn't say it would either. So the only one you got to blame is yourself. I like the 15 minutes early deal personally. I've never been to the Chicago HOB, but if it's as fucked up as the other ones I have been too, then that 15 minutes will be well worth the extra cash.

it lets you into the venue 15 minutes before everyone else on line, that's pretty awesome.

I've never been to the Chicago HOB, but if it's as fucked up as the other ones I have been too, then that 15 minutes will be well worth the extra cash.

Ive been to shows at the Chicago HOB, and it gets SLAMMED, i mean you can get stuck in the back and be elbow to elbow with people, i was just hoping for maybe a special area or something, didnt really expect to meet axl or anything, but im just happy i am going, and $250 is worth it in my eyes, everything else is extra for me. 15mins to stand at the front for about 5hrs straight?  How do you get a beer or take a leak and not lose your spot, maybe board members can get an area up front and we can hold peoples spots.

It is a challenge. I don't drink beer and I just keep a small glass of water and cough drops.I go to the bathromm right before the I go inside. Sexkitten had the greatest post for surviving GA at a GNR show. If I'm going to be on the floor I like to be on the rail to have something to hold onto. I am hoping the lithograph is the pic from the GNR website. You could sell it on ebay. I purchased that beautiful poster from Warfield on ebay for $75.

well i tried to get my friend a ticket at 10 am looks like HOB Chicago is sold out!! knew it would go fast!! I ened up buying a ticket for him from Stubhub for 240!!! (ouch)  I guess if i had to do it all over again the VIP IS the way to go!! It at least gives you peace of mind that you don't have to stress and you have your tickets!!!! *man I hope my buddy pays me*

12 hours is a little too hard core for me.  At that point, I'd just fly to save money on gas....and save hella time.

So my friend is getting me on the guestlist for The Foundation Room @ HOB Chicago, its an exclusive club in HOB and the bands hang there, he said there is an elevator with 2 security guards and you go up the elevator to a badass bar area with couches etc... i also should be able to bring 1 guest up!!
