You might want to change the thread title. You're gonna alarm the shit out of some people assuming it's the dates coming up. Also, it was 2004 this happened.

You should have seen the cover they wanted to do. It wasn't a glove, believe me.

Exactly. It was 2001. I was living in Germany at the time and had tickets for the Berlin show at the Waldbuehne. They canceled because Buckethead was having internal bleeding.

I think the only thing they canceled in 2004 was Rock in Lisbon. That time it was b/c Buckethead had actually left the band.

i got a fax on work about the cancelled tour.

and the correct way is: they planned to tour europe in the summer, that got "rescheduled" to the winter due to Bucketheads health. the rescheduled tour "apperantly" was never communicated with Axl.

hard to swallow to have a tour cancelled and at the day they where supposed to have the 1st european show Axl announced that they have been stuck in the studios for to long and will do some shows (vegas)....they could have been in Europe..., i'll tell you it was a lot warmer then NYC a couple of weeks ago Tongue

Yep, it happened, it was a long time ago...

I had bought a ticket for the London show but then I got a letter from ticketmaster I think... I still have it somewhere here...

They did the tour a year later...

I remember there being some kind of ticket brokering service in the Alexanderplatz Bahnhof in Berlin. They were actually nice enough to refund my ticket- which I promptly turned around and spent on Berliner Philharmoniker tickets.  hihi

Living in the US now and am headed to the upcoming show in Orlando. Would be great to actually see Guns in Germany someday though. Looks like they might have a have a few German dates in 2012! ok

That's right. Forgot about the "re-scheduling" to Fall/Winter bit w/o Axl knowing. There was also 9/11 that happened in and around that time and as I recall a few "overseas" (from an American perspective anyway) tours got canceled until people could understand what the hell was going on...

Guns did make it to Europe in '02 though- and that was cool. beer

Would of been a great tour if it went ahead...

We would most probably have more footage of Tobias with GN'R, as well as performances of Oh My God. I actually have the huge poster advertising the UK concert dates, and these are the dates that are on there.

Sunday 10th June at London Arena
Tuesday 12th June at Glasgow SECC
Wednesday 13th June at Manchester Evening News Arena
Thursday 14th June at Birmingham NEC

So those would have been the UK dates, but I know that there was a ton of European dates as well.....such a shame it never materialised.  Undecided
