I signed up for Premium and here's why;

t-shirts are $25 (to $40 if you buy them at a concert). You get a special Fan Club shirt I assume you can't get anywhere else. You're getting a bandana and a laminate, plus the ability to get in on tickets early. So if you add those things up, to me, you're not really paying much to access the site.

I am wondering this too.  I doubt I will get a membership but if its a one time fee I would be much more likely to consider it. 

And nothing will ever be better than the gnronline.com fan forum  ok

If there is anything worthwhile to pay 30 bucks, then I'll probably do it. Only, and only if it's a one-time payment. If it has a passage to live concert footage, streams, and even new songs, then I'll buy it in a heartbeat. If it's just for a forum (possibly heavily moderated) and a chat room, then I'll pass.

Besides, we already have countless GN'R forums on the internet, including this one, and their free.

It's kind of useless in a way to charge people to use a forum, I understand you can get the bandana and Fan club t-shirt, but your still paying for a forum.

I hope we hear more about this soon. Like will there be any benefits of being a member except a forum.

Still though, when all that's said and done I'll probably still buy a membership just out of curiosity.

I can't see it being annual, but again I'm not sure.....

It's still a cool thing to do for the fans, but I guess it would be nice to know what the "online" world of GN'R entails.....I guess it would be cool to be told that bandmembers might be posting on there from time to time. And also whether there will be any extras, like video, photos, contests etc.

Otherwise I guess it is just another forum, and I love HTGTH.....so I would rather post here to be fair.  Cheesy

Just like any subscription.

You don't get a magazine for life when you pay once... Usually!



If you think paying for a fan club is weird, I would say a majority of bands who have fan clubs, do the same.

I'm sorry if you expect everything to be free.

Seriously?  A paid membership?  Really sad to see GNR heading this way.  Sad  Maybe other bands are doing it, it doesn't mean they have to.  I do not call this "fan friendly".  "Fans who make money" friendly maybe.  Very dissapointed.

I guess you forgot the fact that they had a fan club in the 1980s.

Sure hope they don't believe people should pay for the forum. That's pretty bad. LOL. Good luck there. I have the Pearl Jam 10C membership that I get the crappy t-shirt and some nice vinyl, and you don't have to be a user to access the forum.
