I think it doesn't matters who is the next president because it can't be worser than Bush or Obama.

I'd like to see a political party formed whose platform promotes the Northern States seceding from the U.S. and joining Canada. Not only would we get universal health care, we'd get a major national anthem upgrade.
For the record, I know how unrealistic that is. Canada would never take us.

There are other people running as 3rd party candidates.
I am going to take a look who is running as the Libertarian Party candidate before I decide. Don't always vote for the winning team!
Its still way to early for me to get out the pom poms for anyone. But I do know who I won't be voting for

It is like a giant commercial. Its hilarious. I love it and hate it the same time.
I'm in Texas and will be voting for Obama. Unfortunately i'm in the minority in these parts. State definitely going republican.

The debates are going to be fun!
Obama handed it to McCain 3 times in '08, and Biden handled Palin easily.
I think Ryan will be a lot tougher than Palin in the Veep debate...but a lot will hinge on Romney's performance.
Obama gets a lot of crap for using teleprompters in speeches, but he obviously didn't use them when he debated Hillary and McCain in '08...and he only lost one debate that year...the one in Feb.? to Hillary.
The debates will definitely be fun.

Romney and Ryan are both much more Savy than McCain and Palin. Barack will have to be in defense mode because of his first 4 years. He could be on the attack in 2008 because he hadn't been pres yet and he had the hope and change thing going. Romney and Ryan and now play up how they will be different, like Obama did in 2008.

I agree, the incumbents definitely have the advantage in that sense. However, I'm still waiting for Romney to actually talk about what his platform is rather than convince us the last 4 years have been a waste.

Romney did improve as his Republican debates progressed.
Ryan's a wildcard for me, but anybody can outperform Palin.
One thing's for certain, a booming stock market and high 401k's are a plus for the Democrats.
Relatively high unemployment along with the biggest drought since the 1930's, make things tough on the incumbent.
The biggest challenge facing Romney and Ryan is the same thing McCain/Palin faced in '08.
The Republican candidate will have to try and convince citizens that:
a) lowering taxes on the wealthiest Americans, benefits MOST Americans...that will be difficult.
b) just like McCain, they have to tell the American people they will be cutting federal spending...spending that benefits many Americans.
and c) okay, we're cutting spending...but who will they will be cutting benefits from? Ryan's plan for Medicare is a definite political liability.
Just like T.O. said, "Getcha popcorn ready!"

Obama has a tough road ahead of him. Unemployment is bad, really bad. Fiscally the country is in dire straits with the debt and he's done nothing but make it worse.
Romney still has to prove himself.

Again, as I said earlier, Romney will have to be quite persuasive to convince Americans lowering taxes on millionaires and billionaires will benefit a majority of Americans.
Also, in "swing" states, unemployment is better than the national average, which obviously benefits the president.

Obama wants to raise taxes on people making over $250K which is hardly wealthy. I have no issue with asking MILLIONAIRES for more but we need to stop grossly wasting taxpayers money first. An increase of money going down the toilet won't help matters.
