I like how we're already justifying no release until 2022...I guess I'll just go buy the AC/DC album in three weeks. Im gonna buy that vinyl anyway But i look forward til i can buy a new GnR vinyl. How do you guys prefer a first listen to new GnR music? I mean an album? I hope they will release it on vinyl and that i get it before the official releasedate. Singles i guess i will listen to via streamingservices

I was looking forward to the Smashing pumpkins new album, but it does not sound good to me. Hopefully GNRs new album will be good.

Thing is, if you put it out now, it would give people time to listen to it and get into it. Perhaps draw in some new fans. We are all just sitting around doing nothing. Got nothing but time.
The counterargument is that the next tour already has the tickets sold. So they could rest on that. But who the hell knows when concerts will be a thing again. That ticket you bought for 2020, they are banking on 2021. God help us, we *all* are. But what it 2021 doesn't happen for concerts? Is there a second delay, or do you just refund the money at that point? I don't know. None of us do.
But if your intention is to a be a viable entity going forward, and looking to continue this for some time still, you need to replant. Pretty nice window right now to plan for the future, whenever it restarts.
Of course, Plan B : head out whenever and play the greatest hits. The people will come.
Just a question of what you want to be. Both approaches are viable, in my view. One is just less inspired than the other. But both make coin.

One of my favorite bands to listen to ever, in their prime. But I gotta tell ya, the last album I actually dug was 'Have A Nice Day'. And that's 14 years ago now.

^And humorously, it raises the question from an old Who song: Who came first?

Honestly, I was very disappointed with Living the Dream. I'm still curious though, hopefully it's an improvement and bodes well for new GNR material quality.

So they can release a solo album but what about an album for GNR? This is the type of news GnR fans want not the BS vague spin they've been feeding the fans for the last few years ,incredibly this is Slash's second solo album since he rejoiced GnR which tells me that they have no plans to release new music in the immediate future.

I mean this was just an offhand comment by the bass player... not really that different from what we've heard from Guns.

Wonder if we’ll get any kind of release before the end of 2020, whether that be music or a Blu-ray. Would certainly be appreciated after the year from Hell!!!!

There is still time for someting to happen i n 2020, but spring 2021 looks more promising. But it could be futher delayed if the Covid situation dont get better and the tour will be postphoned again

Seriously? Take a look back to when this thread was started. Just looked: it was May 3, 2012. To say this topic has experienced evolution since then is an understatement.
