I agree, you should give it up until there's that new album for you to embrace and support.  ok

I've been doing this for longer than you probably remember. People like you come and go. You're not special. Smiley
Misery? Once again, this from Mr Positive Support.

Then don't worry about me so much.  Just give it a try.  Try it for a week.

I'm sorry, I can't ignore stupidity posted on a site I started, just to do you a favor. Not gonna happen.

How about you leave and come back when you feel like GN'R is doing everything right? When you got nothing to say except act like a person who actually enjoys the band, instead of saying he does while posting about things he doesn't like.  ok

By your stupidity? Not really. Cheesy

2014: We recorded a lot of things before Chinese was out. We've worked more on some of those things and we've written a few new things. But basically, we have what I call kind of the second half of Chinese. That's already recorded. And then we have a remix album made of the songs from Chinese. That's been done for a while, too. But after Vegas [Guns N' Roses performed a residency at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino that ran through early June], we're going to start looking very seriously at what we're doing in that regard.

2012: New music: "All the guys are writing, and we recorded a lot of songs over the years. We'll figure out what we feel best about. Chinese was done in piecemeal with one person here and one there at different times. Appetite for Destruction was the only thing written with lyrics and melody fitting the guitar parts at the same time. After that, I got a barrage of guitar songs that I was supposed to put words to, and I don't know if that was the best thing for Guns. I do want to lean more toward lyrics and melody."

The long wait for Chinese Democracy: "I had to deal with so many other things that don't have to do with music but have to do with the industry. There's such a loss of time. It was more about survival. There wasn't anyone to work with or trust. Someone would come in to help produce and the reality was they just wanted to mix it and get it out the door. They had a different agenda. (The next album) will come out sooner."

2011: We're gonna be busy — we're gonna be busy all next year. We'll be putting out new stuff as soon as we can figure out what our deal is with labels, blah blah blah."

2009: What I can say is if you don't like this, then you probably won't like that. Same people, lots more approaches, bit meaner in places and darker in some. Robin does a really great Stevie Ray Vaughan-type solo on one track.

****

2011: Stinson says that there's "a bunch" of GNR material written and still waiting to be recorded -- "some of it worthy of finishing, some of it probably not" -- in addition to 22 songs recorded during the "Chinese Democracy" process that were not included on the album.

****

November 2014: Richard says he's worked with Dj on stuff, nobody's worked on stuff with Ron. He says there's so much stuff recorded. Mentions three albums of material. Talks about Axl working on it at the moment.

That Robin doing a Stevie Ray Vaughn solo comment always struck me interesting.

Doesn't really fit in with most of what they do these days.  Like to hear that one.

Fuck yeah.  That and Soul Monster/Leave Me Alone, which, as of late 2008 was Axl's favorite track and what he considered to be the "meanest" thing they've ever done.

I guess it's another example of GN'R not doing what people expect.

'Going Down' doesn't sound at all like a GNR tune, but I dig it.

'Blood In The Water' doesn't either, but I'm still not entirely convinced that's even a real GNR song.

I'm a massive Robin fan, so this quote from Axl has had me incredibly excited since he first wrote that. I also like the idea of the next album being meaner and darker. While I love Chinese', I probably wouldn't describe it as overly mean and dark.

The big question is what will remain from the older guys and not redone.   Solos, etc..

For all i know Axl has grown tired of listening to these tracks and has Dj work on over dubs etc..

Which would probably be good as well, but I would really lole to hear what was originaly supposed to be released.  And then followed up with want the current band could do

I wonder how many tomea axl listens to the old unreleased music

He could have buds over and play some cool tracks.   Hey bud this is a song i brought brian may in to do some solos on.  And its all mine!  Haha.  Thats actually pretty cool.   You think thats cool i got shak to so some rap work on this other track.  Listen to this.  Shak loves when i play this for him!   Best party ever!

I would imagine that the bulk of Robin's parts, solos and all, will be included on the next album.  However, Buckethead is less likely, save for bits here and there.  I would be shocked (albeit pleasantly) if we got another Bucket solo ala TWAT on the next album.  But really who knows?

Why do you think most of Robin's parts will remain while Buckethead's will not?

It's just a guess, but I think Axl was more emotionally attached to the work Robin put into the album(s).  But honestly who knows? Bucket could be all over the next album for all we know, which to date is very little.

I think it's a good guess and I pretty much agree

Look what remained on CD from buckets work.  Just the stuff that was too damn good to replace.   And songs he actual wrote (music, melodies).  And he is still on a lot of the album as well, even with stuff removed

But again it's all a guess

Like you have heard in interviews.  Axl is great at putting together little pieces of material that members of the band have given him.   One day he might like this solo by this person, then the next day he likes something out by someone else

It seems like there is no real hard feeling from Axl to both robin and bucket, so I hope we just get to hear the best music.  Especially if there is songs written by them, not just solos

I would hang on to as much Bucket stuff as I could, if I'm him.

If you are going to be cool releasing stuff by guys long gone, aim high.  Bucket is so obviously the best guitar player of any of this bunch.

I don't think there is any debate over this.  I totally agree

Especially because I have never heard any music written by the current guitar players, (guns work, side projects, past work)

Robin was great in the studio, great live, but sometimes his solos would just be like a wawa wall of gibberish

Bucket is/was a master in the studio.  For such a technical player he can write some killer grooves, he has a funk to his style. A uptown funk (love that new song)

And bucket was just great live.   So he wins haha

This would be my perfect world

Disk 2 should all be freshly written stuff

And even toss in the remix album and I would be happy for another 15 years

Buckethead is the greatest instrumentalist to have ever been in that band. There is no end to his creativity.
