did anyone besides Heath (axlrosegnr) see Robin Finck?

Forgive me and my Robin sighting. My buddy and I were waiting in the front, and he got excited and said he saw Robin, I caught a glimpse of someone who appeared to look like Robin, and I obviously jumped the gun in saying it was Robin. I highly doubt Robin would be there and not play. I didn't mean to get anyone's hopes up.

Anyways, they certainly weren't lying when they said they were going to make every show different! 4 shows in and they just keep getting better and better!

Not to ruin on everyone?s party but to me the setlists have been pretty disappointed so far...

4 shows until now and with a catalogue so big they sure repeat a lot of songs.

Maybe as a Pearl Jam fan i?m spoiled but i can remember the last 4 shows at the spektrum and the setlists were so different from each night...

Watching the setlists so far its been disappointing...

Considering they just did three songs in one night that they have not done at all since 2010 (The Seeker was a premiere), I'd say you picked the wrong date to complain about a setlist for a show you didn't attend.

/jarmo

Oh Please Jarmo... The Seeker is not even a Guns N'Roses song... they can do any cover they want too, that doesn't change the fact that at this point no new songs on the setlist it's pretty negative in my view...

I mean don't get me wrong, the shows are still great and all... The old songs and the CD songs are awesome to listen to as well, but at this point and with this unique environment in Vegas you would expect a little more...

I'm not saying it's Axl's fault... maybe the contract they signed reads only CD songs + Appetite songs + others but no new songs... i dunno... i doubt it, but you never know, but in all it's pretty unsatisfying they're not playing even 1 new song...

I think for LV, I would rather see Guns perform different songs from their current repoitoire, rather than a brand new song. Performing TWAT and CITR was amazing, and I would have liked to have been there.

I think it is grossly unfair that people who have not purchased tickets to the LV concerts judge what the setlist should contain.

Cool to see Catcher back in the setlist.

I'm not sure I'd care to hear a song for the first time in a live setting. Usually takes my simple mind a few spins to process a new song and figure out if I like it or not.
I'd rather hear the songs I know I enjoy at a concert.

Thanks for posting!!  Can't wait for 23rd and 24th to roll around.  I'm hoping for both TWAT and CITR for those shows.

Wow, just watched There Was A Time in HD on youtube and I'm blown away... drool

Nice to see Axl stay stageside as well for Rons outro solo, but they all killed it. Axl's voice was top notch and he handled it perfectly, I hope TWAT once again becomes a staple in the setlist as Axl kills it everytime.  ok

EDIT... here's the link.

Perfect! for me, this is the best TWAT they have ever played : D (2nd would be Hammerstein ballroom 2006 and 3rd Tokyo 2009)

I think the excesive rasp at the beginning of other versions kinda ruined the song, I'm happy Axl sang it more like the album version

I went last Saturday & heard quite a few people bitching about the set, most casual fans only want to hear the hits & were bitching about the CD stuff. Not everyone is a fan of the new band & would be happy with a greatest hits show. The fact that Axl & the boys are changing out 2 or 3 songs a night should make us diehards happy

« Reply #71 on: November 08, 2012, 05:13:01 PM »

I just went to the first 3 shows and they were amazing - hearing that the first show after I left there was Catcher and TWAT??? That's kind of upsetting for me. Those are 2 of my favorite GNR tracks ever, and since I've now seen the band 18 times, it would have really made the trip. The Saturday show was a little more "matter of fact", so it would have been cool to get one of those before I left.

I'm still happy I saw the first 3, but it honestly stings a little that I missed those two. Oh well - I've got a few weeks left to hit the lotto and get back there!
