#7 in Sweden. A country where no GN'R album or video/DVD ever went to #1...

'The Seeker' on this thing is one of the stronger tracks.  In fact, its one of the stronger tracks on every bootleg I have since they started playing it.

For those interested, I posted some pics on GN'R France (Blu-ray + 2CDs set) a few days ago. You can see them here:
http://www.gnrfrance.net/actualites-news-guns-n-roses/revue-complete-et-photos-haute-definition-du-boxset-appetite-for-democracy-3d-live-at-the-hard-rock-casino-las-vegas-2149.htm
http://www.gnrfrance.net/photos-guns-n-roses/galerie-appetite_for_democracy-boxset.htm

By the way I really enjoyed the boxset and thought the 2CD version was well edited, without any breaks/ solos between songs.

Nice pictures man! Thanks for sharing.

I noticed Target is selling the dvd for 15.59 (US currency). I know what I'm getting for Christmas!

Anyone else read that interview with the director of the DVD? Seems like he was really impressed with Guns and he is really proud of the outcome. I can't wait to see it!

Thanks for the pics. So I guess the European version is the same for all of Europe. The age logo seems to be the same I saw on Amazon UK.

I just watched the concert yesterday and it's absolutely amazing. Axl's vocals are top notch and Ashba along with the whole band did a pretty good job. Ashba's playing was a really surprise for me. I've been to live GN'R's gigs and I didn't notice how good his sound was.

Congratulations to the band and crew. Always nice to see your favourite band on a big TV screen.

Yes it is. I think it's an overlooked fact that this is the first concert film released by GN'R since 1992!

Today's the anniversary of this show.

I think this is great.  I don't think I cant count how many times I watched those early 90 vhs's, then dvd's later.  Its nice now to have something to add to collection and gets me off watching bootlegs on you tube!

The blue ray is really really good quality and it brings back memories of seeing them in Vegas and how good of a trip it was.

I have one copy for myself and picked one copy up for a present for my old man for Christmas.  His version of guns was from the 90s, but I also like to keep reminding him that they still around and are a great rock band.  This blue ray is proof of that

My dad was a huge fan of old guns too. He actually has the appetite for destruction cross tattooed on his right bicep but it has faded over time (he is a roofer and spends lots of time in the sun) so you cant really see the faces on it too well anymore. As for this version of Guns, he thinks they sound great but his musical tastes have evolved over the years and he only really listens to country now so I don't think it's something he'll go out of his way to listen to.

I truly think GNR is one of the few cross generation bands still around today.

I remember going on a road trip with my old man, I must of been in grade 7.  November rain comes on, as we are listening to his copy of UYI1.  He looks over at me and tells me to close to window as his song is on.  haha

Just last week I am headed out to the lake with my two kids, boy 6 girl 10.  I am listening now to Chinease and they are dancing in the back seat.  The next generation of guns fans right there!  Classic

Thanks for sharing the stories with us! Yeah I was in love with Guns when I was a young kid but forgot about them for a while. You just don't get much better than Guns. I love Zeppelin and Floyd too, but Guns to me is a band of that caliber that is still around and shaping it's history so it has a certain kind of appeal that the other great classic rock bands don't. I mean sure, (insert classic rock band) still puts out great albums all the time but you pretty much know what they are going to sound like, they aren't exactly reinventing themselves anymore. And I'm not saying they should or have to either. It's just that I feel like Guns is still a living breathing thing and that we haven't seen it's final form yet, it's still transforming. That makes it really cool for me and I think it's great that Axl is willing to do things this way even though it puts him in somewhat of a vulnerable position.

I can't wait to get my hands on this thing so I can talk about it! I'm already in here at least once a day and I haven't even seen the DVD yet haha.

i just got this today and listeded to the first CD. it is absolutely killer!!!

Axl's performance is nothing short of amazing. he sounds absolutely incredible. his screams on It's So Easy are as good as ever. The band sounds tight and there is a reckless vibe to it. Cranking it really loudly in my basement was more enjoyable than watching on my TV for some reason. i was blown away.

i listen to the Ritz show quite a bit in my car, so i have a good feel for what the old band sounds like in their prime. there are alot of imperfections to Axl vocal performance in that show that give it a raw feel. there are also some imperfections in this vegas show (and most current shows) that maybe get over-analyzed in this day and age, but Axl's voice is truly in great shape.

the band sounds awesome. i noticed Frank more than usual as well. i think he's a great drummer. carries the beat well and doesn't try to overplay the songs - reminds me more of adler's style.

i'm getting together with family and friends to watch it at my dad's house next weekend (he has a great family room with killer speakers). some have not seen gnr ever or have not seen them in 20 years. looking forward to it. glad they released this!!!  ok

Friendly warning. Don't get this from Best Buy. I ordered it for $59 and it came without the shirt. The version WITH the shirt is on Amazon for $50. So while the shirt isn't a deal breaker, I'm not going to pay more for less.

After finally sorting out an annoying handshake issue with my 3D bluray player, I finally got to watch this!

It was the first thing I put through the projector onto my 120" screen, and was blown away!  Not only is it an excellent concert, the production and 3D mastering is very good indeed.  I could have done without the added digital "pyro", but it's infrequent enough to be forgiveable  Wink

An absolute must buy for any Guns fan  ok
