Yes, indeed, ''meia entrada'' means ''half ticket'', and it is a ticket at half of the regular price. It benefits students and people over 60 years.
Students must be registered at something called ''Cadastro ?nico para Programas Sociais do Governo Federal'', mustn't be over 29 years old, and now the ammount of tickets reserved for ''meias entradas'' has been limited to 40% of the total (back then there was no limit).
This can be (i imagine... ) one of the reasons the regular tickets for the shows in brazil are so much expensive.

The world has been in a recession for a while now. Argentina is having issues with their currency and inflation.
Some Brazilians are concerned about public spending on big projects for the World Cup while schools and health care suffers and so on...
Does this affect the tour? Well, when people have less money to spend it affects everything. Maybe you buy less music, maybe you eat less pizza, maybe you travel less, maybe you buy less clothes etc etc.

Argentina is not in recession at all, in fact, it's one of the most growing nations in latin america, and it has the best average salary of the whole region. Nothing to worry about Argentina, trust me.

Well, Brazil's economy could be better, there's a lot of speculation over virtually everything and everything costs you a kidney...
But it really doesn't matter. If it were to affect somebody, it would be the market and, therefore, the booking agents. Not necessarily the public. Brazil has a lot of people from all kinds of economic classes. There will always be people willing to pay whatever it may be to attend those concerts, so I don't see a reason to worry.
Hell, why are we talking about it here?
