Ive heard conflicting stories whether this Russian attorney was or wasn't linked to the Kremlin. The truth will come out. Public needs to know one way of the other.

Quick fly by:

1) It doesn't really matter. Read the emails. She was presented, in that forum, as a representative of the Russian government and it's efforts to help Mr. Trump.  They had every reason to think that's what she WAS.

2) The sources saying she ISN'T are, well, compromised.  She's the primary source, and..you know...operatives aren't likely to come out and TELL you they are operatives.  The secondary source is the Russian government spokespeople (see previous point).  Oh, and the conservative media....who have a vested interest in it NOT being true.  The sources saying it IS true are the intelligence community...not just in the US, but abroad....and law enforcement (like...the FBI).  I mean, you can choose who to believe, for sure.  But again....is the Russian governement and the operative, herself, the source you want to steer your ship toward?

3) As of this morning, it's being reported there was a FIFTH PERSON in the room, and they are a known former  Soviet counter-Intelligence operative and Russian lobbyist.  And, again, DTJ didn't disclose this while being "transparent" (or, you know, anything but...).  If this is true, how the hell can anyone actually believe his conclusion that "nothing happened"?

I'm done with this, for reals, for awhile.  I'm going to sit back and watch the process play out. I might hope back in every couple weeks, but....for now, I'm not even gonna click here for a bit. This is truly awful, stain on the republic, shit.

I thought you left this thread.....

He is our special guest star around here.

Probably best thing that could have happened. You cant have a health care system that wasn't built in a bipartisan manner and expect it to last. This could be the best case scenario to force the 2 parties to talk about a better way forward. As it stands right now, infighting in the GOP doesn't allow this current bill to have the votes and Dems are pretending Obamacare isn't slowly falling apart in front of us.

It's the best thing that could've happened cause it was a terrible bill. Unfortunately the faction in the republican party that keeps killing it aren't killing it because it isn't good enough it's because it isn't bad enough. The tea party faction killing it won't be happy until they have a bill that basically kills the sick and poor.

That's a bit overdramatic don't ya think?  Do they kill the sick and poor before or after they sacrifice the children?  rofl

I don't know what the heck they're doing in Congress. Both sides are so dug in they can't govern anymore.

A clear example of why we need a viable 3rd party.

Mostly no, but there is a part of me that thought republicans care about their country and fellow Americans just a little bit. Sadly it seems not.

If this White House ever had a shot at getting its act together this is it. Hard to think about who would have a better shot than Kelly to provide discipline to a chaotic west wing.  With the challenges this White House faces from the top down and from the outside, Priebus wasn't up to the task. And Scaramucci was just a dumb mistake. Hoping this is a reset and they start accomplishing some things in Washington.

As of right now Congress has proven itself to be pathetic.  Accomplished very little and now they take a undeserved summer recess.....

Gypsy you have got to be kidding me? Do you not see what is happening in front of you? Do you not see that trump has just literally been implicated (and admits to!) helping his son craft a story to coverup his meeting with the Russians? Even if he himself wasn't involved in any colluding that is the exact same shit that brought Nixon down. You are not getting 2 terms out of trump and I'd be very shocked if you even get 4years. Good luck trying to repair all the damage done by trump in the years to come.

The republicans have all the power though, yet they can't even get their shit together enough to do the one thing they have been swearing they will do for 7 years! How is it even possible for a group that has so much power to be so utterly incompetent and useless?

They are pretty pathetic with how they've handled healthcare. But it's time for Congress to work in a bipartisan way to fix things. There hopefully will be some democratic members that aren't in denial that the ACA is falling apart under its own weight.

It baffles me that probably the richest country in the world does not provide it's citizens with universal healthcare. There is simply no valid reason why you don't.
