On CNN and other so called ''anti trump'' media.  Its not anti trump. they are reporting whats going on in the world, its not their fault Trump is doing wacky things to put it mildly. They are just calling on it, like they should. Same goes for everybody else. They didint shut up about Hillarys emailgate. Why should they shutup about russia meddling with the election?

I certainly wouldn't put money on CNN reporting what is going on accurately. Yes, it isnt their fault when Trump acts wacky but it is their fault when they put out false information. As a whole, I don't buy into the theory that CNN as a whole is anti Trump, think they're looking for ratings more than anything else. But when it is at the expense of accurate reporting that's a problem. I think they have some reporters who certainly are anti Trump working for them and the network doesn't bother to vette the story before they put it out there.

7 Times CNN Botched The News In 2017

CNN has had a rough 2017 and it?s not even over yet. The news network has repeatedly made key errors when breaking big stories, only to get embarrassed when the facts come to light.

Here are seven times CNN botched the news in 2017.

Comey Testimony

CNN ran a story on June 6 that claimed former FBI Director James Comey would use his testimony the next day to refute President Donald Trump?s claim that Comey had assured him three separate times that he was not under FBI investigation. That story was debunked the same day when Comey?s prepared remarks were released to the public, showing that Comey would actually confirm, rather than refute, Trump?s assertion.

The botched story had four bylines, including those of three veteran journalists: anchor Jake Tapper, chief political analyst Gloria Borger and executive editor Eric Lichtblau, who had recently joined CNN from The New York Times. CNN was forced to rewrite the piece with a correction noting the error.

CNN Smears Scaramucci

Later that month, CNN.com published, deleted, and then retracted and apologized for an article that claimed Trump adviser Anthony Scaramucci was the subject of a Senate investigation for his ties to Russian bankers. After an intense public backlash, three key members of CNN?s investigative team resigned over their role in the retracted story. The network pulled its investigative team off the Russia story shortly afterwards. (RELATED: Wolf Blitzer Humiliates Colleague Over Quality Of Her White House Sources

CNN Spreads Fake News?About Fake News!

CNN was one of several establishment media outlets to spread fake news about a new study on Russian influence efforts in the United States. CNN cited the study, from the Oxford Internet Institute, to show that fake news targeted swing states during election week. But the study didn?t show that, as The Daily Caller first reported.

The study focused on ?junk news,? not ?fake news,? and then deliberately included conservative outlets like the Washington Examiner and Breitbart News in their definition of ?fake news.? CNN and other outlets included none of those facts, portraying a misleading picture to the public.

Republican Donor Did (Not) Fund The Dossier

CNN spread fake news to its viewers during a segment on the infamous anti-Trump dossier in October. While CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer discussed the dossier, the chyron on his show indicated that a Republican donor had initially funded the dossier. That is incorrect. The opposition research firm behind the dossier, Fusion GPS, had contracted with Republican donor Paul Singer for research on candidates including Trump, but that was unrelated to the controversial dossier.

Fake (Fish) News

During President Trump?s visit to Japan last month, CNN spread two false narratives about the president. The first false narrative was that Trump committed a faux pas while feeding Japanese koi fish by impatiently pouring out his entire box of fish food. CNN zoomed in close on Trump while he and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe were feeding the fish, appearing to show the president making the embarrassing mistake. The video went viral and Trump was mocked on social media.

Trump Is (Not) Ignorant Of Japanese Cars

In the second false narrative that CNN spread during Trump?s Japan visit, the network took the president?s words out of context to make him appear ignorant of the fact that Japan makes cars in the United States. ?Trump asks Japan to build cars in the U.S. It already does,? CNN Money?s Daniel Shane wrote.

As TheDC?s Alex Pfeiffer noted at the time, Trump?s full remarks ? which Shane left out ? clearly showed that Trump was aware of the fact that Japan makes cars in the U.S. His remark, which CNN took seriously, appeared to be a joke.

CNN Botches Another ?Bombshell?

CNN Botches Another ?Bombshell on Friday when it reported that Donald Trump Jr. and the Trump campaign had received advanced access to stolen emails published by WikiLeaks. The network hyped the story as a bombshell for most of the day before TheDC?s Chuck Ross debunked it, revealing several serious errors with the story.

http://dailycaller.com/2017/12/08/7-times-cnn-botched-the-news-in-2017/

CNN has apologized for a number of fake news stories about trump. Suspended Ross and called it an honest mistake.

Serious question, did they ever have to issue an apology for a false story on obama?

For sure CNN is not perfect.

I still think they are one of the better ones around.

At least the recognized their mistakes, and acted on them. Fox news seem to be immune to backlash for a lot of bullshit stories they can get away with on a daily basis.

CNN isn't perfect but it's a million times more credible than fox or britebart or any other "news" outlet on the right. It's hilarious that you throw the feed the sheep line at me when that's literally what trump does and you eat it up hook line and sinker. The projection on the right is hilarious.

there is ample evidence to prove you blindly believe and support everything the left throws out there. your blind allegiance to, and inability to criticize, CNN is just one example.

I have been critical of trump. I don't agree with everything he says and does. I don't remember if I was posting here at the time, but I strongly disagreed with his actions in Syria. i also did not agree with a number of his executive orders. i focus on results. actual accomplishments. he has many, but i know i said recently in here that he needs to get the tax plan approved. he struck out on one big initiative, and if he strikes out on this one as well, that's a problem and i will be disappointed.

I like when trump speaks and doesn't act "presidential" (cause ya know, all prior presidents were such good people). i know it triggers the left and sends them to their safe spaces. but i love it more cause it drives people like Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell insane. and they don't go insane because they are embarrassed to be in the same party as them. it drives them insane because he is exposing them too. they are all the same. the deep state. all part of the swamp. and they are all scared.

Nevermind CNN,  look at this other thing over here, Fox News !  hihi

Well one rarely gets things wrong while the other is in the business of promoting fake news.

Which CNN are you watching? I find it interesting you never ever seem to stray from the liberal talking points.

I stopped watching cable news a year or so ago because it all pretty much dumbs down, spins  and sensationalizes whats going on. They all do it its a ratings game unfortunately. And bigger headlines sell more ads. And sometimes they write the story based on that and not facts.

Socially I'm more liberal, fiscally I'm more conservative. I'm so sorry I don't subscribe to the alt-right way of thinking.

As I've said cnn isn't perfect but they try and give facts first before opinion. Sometimes reporters make mistakes, we can't all be perfect. You still can't seem to admit that the right wing way of thinking is to create actual fake news against their opponents and then scream out FAKE!!!! when others report in the actual real horrible shit your side does. If you honestly don't see that then your part of the problem.

No pedo in the Senate from Alabama. So happy Alabamans used their head and did the right thing. Of course Moore refuses to concede.

What's everyone's t thoughts on Trump's tweet about Senator Gillibrand? Imo sounds an awful lot like he's insinuating she's a slut.

Moore was a horrible candidate and he lost. If he was interested in keeping the seat for the GOP he would have stepped aside, but this election in his mind was about him.

I was surprised Jones did not win by a higher margin all things considered. Jones very much has the write in votes to thank. But unless he becomes a centrist Democrat, or the general population of Alabama drops religion and conservative leanings, he is gone next election if they don't run a sexual predator against him.

Trump said that she would "do anything" to get campaign contributions. I didn't read into that meaning he called her a slut. You can read into that what you want to .......Rob a bank? Kidnap someone? Wrestle a bear?

But bottom line yet another ill advised tweet. No discipline.  Angry

Yeah he was an all around awful candidate and person. Even if you gave him innocent until proven guilty on the molestation and those who backed it up he was still awful. This is a guy that said America hasn't been great since slavery, gays should be jailed and that getting rid of every amendment after the 10th would solve problems which would take away women's right to vote and make slavery legal. Not to mention he was kicked off the bench for wiping his ass with the constitution how many times? Twice?

I think the insinuation was there but definitely we can agree another moronic tweet from the village idiot. Someone in the administration really should advise him to stop tweeting. or at least have staff do it.

At the moment, I'm not able to calculate the exact amount but for me personally, it will be HUUUUUGGGEEEE!!!  Grin

I am/have been what most people would consider to be genuinely middle-class.

My 'property taxes' are under the new $10K ceiling so I will be able to continue to deduct the entire amount.

My 'salary' now falls into a category that is something like 10% lower than in 2017 so my actual "take-home-pay" should increase by that percentage if I'm understanding how this all works.

My 'other income' will put my 'gross income' into a category that is now I believe something like 5%-ish lower than the 2017.

On top of those three categories, the personal deduction for everyone is almost double than it was in 2017!!!

From what I understand about the new system, I won't be able to use the new "postcard size form" because to take full advantage of charitable donations and/or medical expenses, I would still need to itemize.

But the major things are all WIN/WIN/WIN/WIN for me personally!!!  ok
