These guys don't really hit the south east all that much, do they? I'm thinking that they might have played in Fla once but not even sure about that. Seems like they tend to stay in the NY, MA, NJ area. More of an observation than anything. I'd love to see them some time.

And can ask questions and report back
Going to Queens on the 2nd, but questions? to the man, around and in the show, and you have the hope or the assumption he'd give some revealing, satisfying answers? Why am I wondering? Of course those are the reasons, but having spoken with hm before, I can assure you, the chance of him disclosing information is an impossibility.

What's your locale? I know some RVA spot info I could pass along if I get a chance at the Blackhorne gig to open my pie-hole to some personnel

Exactly.  My suggestion (from past experience) is to buy him a shot of Jager and enjoy his company.

The place in Queens used to be called the Lemontree, it was a lounge type place , mostly spanish music. I used to hang there all the time, my friend was the bartender there... crazy to think that now it's a rock club and Dizzy Reed is going to be there.... there's a diner right across the street you can get some food at after the show that's open late.

The place is also real tiny... like a store front.

Gotta be like 200 people max in there...

It's a really cool chance to meet Dizzy (like not just shake hands and say hello, but to sit at the bar and talk), and they put on an enjoyable show.  The venues they play are typically smaller, bar/stage setups, and he usually saunters over the bar for a few after the set.

He was really cool to talk to.  We shot the shit on a whole range of things (music, touring, etc.).  At least for me, I had an implied understanding not to ask anything "GnR sensitive" ("hey when's that album coming out", "can you play me Soulmonster?", "what's Axl really like?") because (a) it's likely he can't/won't answer that, (b) it will likely annoy the shit out of him and (c) if he is ever going to say something, it's not going to be a fan at a bar at a Hookers and Blow concert.

Some people did ask him annoying questions, and he just shrugged them off and hung out with us awhile.  I would definitely recommend you checking them out.

East Tennessee, which puts me in distance of Atlanta and some spots in the Carolinas (Asheville has some great places they could play).
