I skipped the opening act entirely back in July.  Think there were 2.

I had drinks in the lounge.  It was a 100 fucking degrees that night, literally.  I wasn't interested in seeing anyone by GNR in those condidions.

Glad to see there are different openers in London and Nijmegen.

Haven't seen any of these bands/artists before so I hope I'll be suprised.

Mark Lanegan and Killing Joke  ok

I'll take that!

Fortunately...that's what I'm getting! YES!

SO SO glad I didn't get Royal Blood or The Darkness!

Luck of the draw on this one!
Haha.
I got The Darkness and Monroe.
Atleast Monroe should be cool.

I know absolutely nothing about Michael Monroe- good then?

The dude's a legend, he's badass, glam as fuck but awesome.
Also, he got his history with GN'R (Axl appearing in his video clip, he's playing harp on Bad Obsession, co singing Ain't It Fun and lot's of guest appearing live with GN'R, Slash & Duff)

Seems like he hasn't played a lot of Hanoi Rocks songs in his solo sets lately..... But yeah, that's what he's mostly known for. Except for many GN'R fans, he's more known as the guy who duets with Axl on Ain't It Fun. Wink

Don't have any Hanoi Rocks on the iPod, but do have Michael's 'Dead, Jail, Or Rock N' Roll'.

Decent late 80s hair tune.

Personally I listened a bit to Monroes album "Sensory Overdrive" when it came out in 2011 but not much since then. I also remember a previous single called "fashion". Those songs along with a handful of Hanoi Rocks songs is all I know.

I was right about Biffy CLyro, still not my cup of tea.

The 3 latest albums from Michael Monroe are all kick ass! Saw him/them live in a little pub in Oslo in March. Probably 150 people capacity. Still one of the best shows  beer They played Malibu Beach, Oriental Beat, Tragedy and Up Around The Bend from the Hanoi catalouge. Damn I wish I could attend this show.....but hey, all good, got my other wish for Stockholm. Backyard Babies  ok

And most important, of course, Guns n' Roses  hihi

Sure.

But then you remember that this is the first European tour with the three of them together since 1993. The first time a majority of concert attendees get to see the show.

Surely so but isn't the audience in Finland going to get something very special the rest of Europe can only dream of. All the ingredients are there.

Something along the lines of meeting AC/DC on their home turf.

Whole Lotta Rosie and Riff Raff are songs GN'R have rehearsed and done quite frequently in the past. Not to mention the fact that Axl did those with AC/DC as well.

If you compare that to say Bad Obsession or even Ain't It Fun....

What I'm trying to say is that those AC/DC songs were more likely than what some are thinking could happen in Hämeenlinna because of the opening act.

But let's see. Smiley
