Brilliant gig. Axl seemed a bit pissed at some points, but funny.

Maybe so different audiences can experience the tribute to Chris Cornell?
Well, you can have been done once in memory and not over and over again to play not have their songs that fans expect to play?

I don't think they left out any songs in the normal setlist to make room for BHS. It was an addition.

It's an other easy cover

And even with the one night tribute.

I do not need to read people saying it's great to hear or they need to now play this to every city in the world as a tribute

Really. Multiple cities?

These are the same people that would say. Just wait.  Once this band travels the world and plays mulplte legs of this act we will for sure see something new.  Right

Buick Makane (Big Dumb Sex) instead of New Rose or Attitude that was enough in my opinion and we are one place for song Guns N' Roses

Let's put things into perspective..

Few bands play such an extensive set as GN'R. We are pretty lucky fans in that regard.

Just a quick search on recent concerts:

U2 played 21 songs
Metallica played 18 songs
Tool played 13 songs
Iron Maiden played 15 songs
Coldplay played 23 songs
Foo Fighters played 20 songs
Red Hot Chili Peppers played 19 songs
Muse played 19 songs

Guns N' Roses played 24 songs (I have subtracted solos and instrumentals)

There are bands out there playing as many (Radiohead) or more (Springsteen, Pearl Jam) than GN'R. But let's be clear, they are among the bands putting on the longest shows.

How many bands that have been around for 30 years

Play as many cover songs as guns n roses ?

Point is, take away the cover songs, and they are still playing as long, or longer shows than most bands.

Black Hole Sun and The Seeker is really the only proper songs they do that haven't been released by GN'R in the past. 90% of the audience loves KOHD and LALD, they are GN'R classics, like it or not.

I don't get your hangup on covers, the vast majority of the set is original GN'R songs.

You are just a guy who enjoys to complain it seems.

A year later, it's pretty clear what this tour is about. Money (of course...) and the reunion aspect ? Slash and Axl together on stage again.

Richard said recently in an interview that no tracks have been recorded by the current line-up yet. They are gathering ideas at the moment. There are no new songs written by this particular band to play, it will most definitely be another tour for that.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how much does the one-song-addition to the set bother you, and why?

Holy shit i don't like calling people out but baconman give it a rest. Can't stand people who want to constantly complain. GNR could come out with an entire album tomorrow and you would find something to complain about it god you suck. Sorry I hate doing that shit and never do but its getting ridiculous with some of you.

You want to compare this band to other bands

Then say how many songs this band plays compared to other bands

Cool

Let's compare how much this band plays live compared to other bands you just mentioned

I call cover songs. Guitar solos and drum solos  easy

Guns n roses record cataloge is almost 30% cover songs

They play roughly 20% of there set list as cover songs

Great that it doesn't bother you.

Not sure much would

10/10

For a cover song

I feel cheated as a fan as it is a easy out for a band to play a cover song and not an original song

I knew as soon as I logged in and saw a baconman comment it would say 'too many cover versions'. Sure enough. Yawn.

Just got back. The best show I have ever seem in my life, and I've seen hundreds. I can't very well describe how it made me feel, being up by the front barrier, seeing and hearing this. I lost the plot a bit! Perfect, in every single way.

The less said about the venue the better! Great for me until trying to get out. Two and a half hours to get off the site on foot!

Also, and maybe jarmo can help on this, why were there no programmes? Did I miss them? Was annoying that all the shirts seemed sold out at the end of the show too. Ended up buying nothing and I had money to spend! Ah well. Money saved!

Again though- best show I've ever seen.

looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool at Dizzy's attire!

That is one ill-fitting suit. He must have the same tailor as 45...

Maybe, just maybe - and hang with me on this one - it's a tribute AND a song they genuinely enjoy playing.

Back on topic, Rosie sounded great. It was cool to hear Slash do the leads for once, I like what he did with it. They should keep it in the set.

I was wondering if the band was gonna do something for Gregg Allman.  peace

For the record, my username Sky Dog is in reference to his brother Duane Allman.....my favorite geeeetar player.

Greg and Duane are playing Please Come Home right now in the afterworld. beer

awesome show!!!

band was on time and tight as hell. Hearing Estranged , civil war and coma was mindblowing (specially estranged and civil war)

although i gotta be a little bit honest...they should scrap Chinese democracy and better off the setlist. (and im a huge fan of the album)

songs just dont translate well live (specially better) , on the contrary This i love was amazing!

couldnt get a poster , merch lines were very long.

do they sell them on gnr website or something? (i know pearl jam does)

hopefully they come back because it was truely awesome!
