21:10 seems late for this tour. Or was it just Ireland and the UK that had them on stage at 7:45?

8.45 to 9 has been largely the standard.

The announced time on stage seems to be 20.45 pretty much everywhere on this leg. In Japan they were on stage at 18.30 I think it was Grin

Always enjoy Nightrain, but my favourite version will always be the way the 2001 lineup did it actually. I think those guys just nailed the last section- Buckethead especially. What a live experience that was.

I'd argue this is better than any version from the NITL tour....

Good call and I was at that show, an enjoyable moment from GnR history no doubt, but at the time we were still hankering in our hearts for the original line-up. A different era when getting GnR news was less than great, but happy to have lived through it. The biggest crime here though, for me, is that BH didn't go on to bigger and better things, a different story for another day.

Incredible show. The excitement for me was off the scale for that gig- largely because we had very little idea what to expect. Loved every second of it. Felt strange- it was for me, the first time in many years I'd spoken to anyone that was remotely interested in the band. Felt like a little club huddled at the front of the stage through a truly awful performance by The Prodigy. Stories for another time/thread though I guess!

Reality of today's rock crowd, I guess. Didn't bother listening to them even though I suppose I was a real pain in the ass. Who cares, I had my most amazing concert ever. Will never forget. I hope they come back to Europe next year.

Yeah screw it. The same people will probably happily stand and talk all night, and think that's ok! I always think, if you don't want to be in the middle of the crowd going wild- just move back a bit. Easy.
